its june 22nd 1941 and the war is heavily on us. Me and my younger sister were picking up cotton when soldiers heavily armored with wepons and shields had aproched us asking what we were doing so near to the city in greman. You see my family owns a farm and its just outside the city still in the danger zone for bombs and children should've been avakuated. Our parents didnt want to let us go since they were too scared that they would loose us and wouldn't be able to say goodbye. In the best ability i could, i told them in the most terrible German anyone could hear. I expaind our situation. After that happened they marched off right away in their uniform. we were just recently invaded by the soviet union and Germany was starting to invade lithuania now so my german wasnt great comepared to my russian
