reborn in a medieval fantasy world with the soul of the creator
The impact was instantaneous. Alex didn't even have time to process it before he felt his body being thrown into the air, followed by a dry crack. The pain was gone instantly, replaced by absolute calm.
"Am I dead already?" I thought as darkness enveloped him.
But death wasn't what he expected. There were no tunnels of light or the classic movie of his life flashing before his eyes. Instead, a golden flash appeared, soft at first, but soon growing to envelop him completely. The pressure on his body faded away, leaving only his consciousness floating in that glow.
A voice, neither male nor female, echoed around him.
"You have shown courage by sacrificing yourself for another. However, your journey doesn't end here."
"What does that mean?" Alex asked, though he had no mouth to speak with.
"You will be sent to a new world, one filled with challenges and possibilities. In it, your soul will awaken with a unique power. Use your wits to shape your destiny."
Before he could ask more, he was swept into a stream of light that swept him away like a whirlwind. He felt the wind on his face and a strange tickle running through his chest. When he finally regained consciousness, he was lying on a field of grass, the purple sky stretching out above him.
"What the fuck just happened…?"
He sat up, rubbing his eyes. The landscape was unreal: trees with leaves that sparkled like crystals, flowers that gave off a faint light, and birds flying with plumage colors he had never seen. It looked like a painting out of a dream.
That was when he felt it: a pulsating heat in his chest. He looked down and saw something shiny emerging from his body. At first he thought it was a jewel embedded in his skin, but he soon realized it was ethereal, floating lightly in front of him.
A transparent panel appeared before his eyes.
WELCOME, BEARER OF THE CREATOR'S SOUL
Main Skill: Property and Information Creation
Starting Function: Basic Analysis
"What the hell is this? A game?"
Before he could understand it, a guttural roar echoed through the trees. His body reacted before his mind, leaping to his feet. Something large and fast was approaching, the creaking of branches revealing its direction.
From the hope emerged a huge creature: a wolf nearly three meters tall, with a coat as black as night and red eyes that glowed like embers. Its fangs dripped with saliva, and a menacing growl escaped its throat.
Alex took a step back, his heart pounding.
"Perfect. Not even ten minutes here and they want to eat me."
Just as the wolf lunged at him, the soul in front of his chest reacted. A new panel appeared over the creature.
Species: Wolf
Level: 8
Status: Hungry
Weakness: Lower Jaw
Alex blinked. "Weakness? Lower jaw? Seriously?"
The wolf didn't wait for him to process more information. It leapt at him with its jaws open, and Alex barely managed to dodge it by rolling on the ground. "Shit, shit, shit!" he exclaimed, desperately searching for something to use as a weapon.
His eyes fell on a sharp rock the size of his hand. He grabbed it and spun just long enough to hit the wolf in the side. It wasn't enough to hurt it, but it did knock it back a few seconds.
"Okay, Alex. Think. If the weakness is in the jaw..."
The wolf charged again, faster this time. Alex waited, his hands shaking as he held the rock tightly. At the last second, he stepped to the side and slammed all his might into the beast's lower jaw.
The wolf let out a howl and fell to the ground, staggering. Alex wasted no time. He jumped on the creature and punched it again and again until it stopped moving.
Breathing heavily, Alex dropped to the ground. "This isn't a dream... I'm in a fucking fantasy world."
A new panel appeared in front of him:
Congratulations. You have defeated a Wolfman.
Reward: Advanced Analysis Unlocked
Alex closed his eyes, exhausted. "This is going to be tricky."
