149 BFH (Before First Holy Way), THE BIRTH OF VOID

The skies were bursting open, the seas were boiling, the ground was shaking violently and the air was too harsh to breathe. No one had any idea what was happening, when they looked up at the sky, they didn't see the usual blue that they were all familiar with, rather it was like the sky had burst open revealing a dozen other skies from different worlds, it was as if the skies were weeping and the earth itself was mourning and shaking with grief. That day hell had descended on earth and the living creatures were all running for their lives. 

For that day a god had been killed. The heavens wept loudly, and the other gods and goddesses too disgusted by the event abandoned the plane, their loyal followers. For the Gods had been betrayed, for them it was like a son had killed his father, the worst tragedy to think of and they left the world to fend for itself.

Devoid of the divine, as the years progressed, evils arose, but no one knew who was the man, elf, half-breed, or dwarf who killed the God and cursed them all. In one and a half centuries, an evil set its eyes on this plane with no protector, the worst evil its kind had ever seen from the deepest wells of hell, the demons descended on earth. They killed, raped, and ate the very souls of the earthlings, until the Holy War, when brave men and women united pushed the evil back into its world. But not forever, since then two more Holy Wars have been fought, each worse than the last.
