Journal 1 The prologue

Me and the boys have been on a boat going for Normandy and my company has been selling for days. We were ready for the hell we are going to be in. We made jokes about the landing on Normandy. There was a navy boy we called him Johnny. He was flying a Douglas SBD Dauntless. His plane was shot down by those pesky Japanese Zeros, but thank god our look out saw him and told our Captain to get him. Now he is joining us on the landings. He was scare like the rest of us.
