Zusammenfassung

David lived an unassuming life, the normal day to day without any change. One day his whole world changed, read on to see how he learns to survive in a changing world while figuring out what's happening to him and his friends, But it is far from a simple and nothing will prepare him for what's coming. 'This is my first work so it is a work in progress, would love some feedback. I adjusted a bit after the 3rd chapter feeling a bit dialogue heavy so you will notice a change

Chapter 1Chapter 1: The Tuesday that was far from normal

So I suppose I should start at the beginning, yes I know who would've thought. It was a normal Tuesday, the kind that has you wishing it was Friday. So you could be at the end of a week that was turning out like every other week and every month.

The day began as normal I woke up at 6 and started my routine, that was like you guessed it....boring. I made my way from home to work, I worked at a little retail store around the corner to my house. Despite my unwillingness to move into management the store owners felt that my lack of interest in slacking and socialising/scrolling on my phone, meant that I was the perfect candidate to run the store in their absence. This meant that I had to open and it didn't conflict with my life at the moment, I didn't have a great deal on and it helped me fill up the time.

Dan had organised the job for me, the owners were family friends and were more than happy to give me a chance knowing my close relationship with him. They were nice and despite being in contact due to Dan it felt like they knew me. The off handed comments and references to my parents had me a bit confused and curious just how they knew these things. Though I wasn't really in the right head space to question or investigate it wanting to just keep you myself.

My parents has passed away when I was part way through university in a car accident. Through my childhood and growing up it was only the three of us, they didn't talk about their family apart from the odd hint every now and then. They weren't anything major, just the casual reference to how "the old man" would think or feel about something. This showed that I had some other relatives but trying to get answers was like trying to grasp at straws.

Everyone else talked about their aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, when I thought to bring it up to my parents they always came up with excuses and changed the topic. I never got any answer from them and just thought they were only children as well, with their parents not in the picture any longer for whatever reason. It always frustrated me and I was intending to bring it up when I was at university giving them some time before I asked yet again. Though I wasn't going to be able to do that any more...

Being an only child meant that I had to deal with all the paperwork and responsibilities that came with organising a funeral and the will. It wasn't too bad just another thing to do, it distracted me from the loss and kept me focused on things to do, after all no one was going to be able to do it for me and apart from the emotional support my two close friends gave me. Though there was still the sense of isolation despite this; they weren't going through the end of their family, and apart from their parents not being around too much they still had other relatives they could speak to.

I didn't really have many friends through my childhood being quiet and very insular during school and with the passing of my parents happening a year into uni it meant I didn't have a chance to meet other people age. I had 2 close friends from families my parents had dinner parties with and they were only real contact with the outside world. Through the process of organising the post death procedures they helped me out as much as they could, from bringing home cooked meals to getting me out of the house. I think if I didn't have them in my life it would have been a very different story.

Daniel was similar to me and that was probably the only reason we got along so well, he enjoyed keeping to himself though he was a bit more fitness inclined compared to my studying and gaming self. Throughout school I had to make sure that he maintained a passing grade as he got distracted easily and was off with the fairies quite alot. That's not to say he didn't excell in anything, he was freakishly talented in any sport related. You name it and he could play it as good as if not better than anyone else at our school. I think the only reason Daniel didn't end up with a scholarship to attend any university he wanted came down to his lack of focus. He could play anything incredibly well but that made him bored too quickly, nothing was a challenge and he gave up too quickly cause no one could play on his level.

Then Sarah was really the reason we came together to begin with, without her Daniel and I would have just kept to ourselves and not even paid attention to each other. She was a bright ray of sunshine in our lives and no matter who they were she had them under her spell. When we first met she came bounding into the room, looked around and spotted both of us off in our own world's. Within about 10 minutes we had come together and it felt that we had known each other for years, with how easy the conversation came especially with two incredibly introverted individuals. Sarah was the same at school she made fast friends with everyone, no matter who you were she included you in anything she thought you should be interested about. Yes should be, not would be, Sarah had a habit of making decisions for you. Though no one ever got annoyed or angry with her for it, it was virtually impossible to be upset or angry around her, all she had to say was sorry if you brought it up and everything was all good. I have no idea how that happened but she just had that joyful disposition that made everything ok.

The two of them really brought me through the death of my parents, if not for them then I would probably ended up in a never-ending circle of depression and self hate. They got me to focus on one thing at a time and gradually brought me out of my shell and ensured I was able to function as a human being again. We became closer after that and even though all three of us ended up at separate universities , we made time each week to meet up for a games night and the odd dinner out and some drinks. We were inseparable and they became like brother and sister to me, if any of us got into trouble or had issues we would drop everything. Both Daniel and Sarah's family worked alot and were regularly out of town, this meant that we fell back on each other to help out.

On this particular Tuesday which was like any other I made my way to work, i came within eye sight of the store when my eyes started playing up on me. This was proven wrong as everyone else around me had stopped as well, and we were surrounded by a deep blood red light that shone down on everyone and everything. Looking up made me question my very existence as the sky was inundated by a sea of flaming meteors. Then all hell broke loose, and everyone went crazy running for any cover they could find, I sprinted for the store and fumbled my keys as I tried to get it into the slot to unlock the doors. The meteors were coming closer and closer and I finally got the key into the door and wrenched the door open, running straight for the back room to try to protect myself from the inevitable burning destruction that was imminent. I jumped behind the nearest stack of boxes and waited for the end....and waited....and waited.

There was nothing, just silence.....

Limitless The Strongest Revenant

"If you intended to die anyway, don't die quietly like a pussy! Go out in a fucking blaze of glory!" That was the statement that changed my world forever. I was a loser in life. I died and got reincarnated into a Revenant. Revenants were people who defended the living from the dead. In exchange for a second life, they had one task and were blessed with one cheat ability. The task? To kick as much zombie ass as possible. Unfortunately, my cheat just made me "Rewind". It didn't give me super strength, speed or the ability to fly. Hell, it didn't even give me a way to fight! Without any way to kill zombies, I nearly died on my first day on the job! Back then I remember crying and puking all over the place like a little bitch. But while I started out like a little bitch, I didn't stay one. Dying full of regrets changed me you see. So much so that I made a promise. I refused to repeat my mistakes when I was human. Reborn as a Revenant, I will never bow down to anyone ever again. Unfortunately, these Revenant bastards were old school. Like they hacked zombies with swords and all that crap old school. As a man born in the USA, I saw no reason why I needed to follow their outdated way of thinking. The modern world had the superpower of gun powder and lead. So instead of swords, I came after every zombie I saw with guns. Like countries in the middle east, I proceeded to blow the motherfuckers to kingdom come. And surprisingly because of "Rewind", I found out I could never run out of ammunition. $200 for each kill. Hefty bonus for each area of hell liberated. What scared normal people shitless suddenly allowed me to earn millions every day. The richer I got the more "Freedom" I could unleash! Mortars, tanks, air strikes to even nukes. Backed by modern science and technology, I slowly but surely drove the undead back. Along the way, I met and saved seven heavenly beauties. And all of them fell in love with me. They were a little obsessive, scratch that, they were all fucking insane. My precious harem was comprised of nothing but Yanderes in every sense of the word. Still, I would willingly burn the entire world for any of them. For when I called, only my battle harem answered. And that was even before I learned of another secret. Exchanging bodily fluids with my girls gave me their cheats. Suddenly, in contrast to every Revenant in the world who only had one, I alone wielded eight. One from each girl plus my own. And so unfolded my 2nd life. Which eventually became my legend. Who am I you ask? I was born as John Smith. But these days not even my girls use that name. Both on Earth and in Hell everyone else just calls me Limitless. And I am the Strongest Revenant. *************************** Author Notes: Harem size: 7 | No NTR | No Yuri | No Grape Novel Focus: Action, Adventure, Urban Fantasy, Reincarnation, Dark, Weak to Strong, Battle Harem, Beautiful Heroines, YANDERE Heroine, Military, Loyal Subordinates, Kingdom Building, War, Politics, Conspiracies, Overpowered, Face Slapping, Tragedy, Character Development, Multiple POVs, Betrayal, Alternate Realities, Demons, Zombies, Superpowers, Tower Climbing, Tower Defense, Wish fulfillment. My Life Changed with the Unlimited System

Ethan Cole was, by all appearances, an ordinary young man navigating the familiar ups and downs of life—until the night everything changed. That was when he encountered the "Unlimited System." This mysterious system didn't merely make Ethan wealthy—it granted him unimaginable riches and set him on a path that was both exhilarating and perilous. The catch? Each mission the system assigns doesn't just test his wit and resolve; it also unlocks incredible powers, elevating him to new heights of strength and influence. But this isn't just a tale of lavish spending and indulgence—though those moments certainly add flavor! Ethan's journey is laced with challenges, each step bringing him closer to reshaping his destiny. From building NovaTech Innovations into a technological marvel to buying a football club and even creating an app poised to revolutionize the food delivery industry, Ethan's rise is nothing short of meteoric. And yet, the further he climbs, the more he discovers the shadows lurking behind his newfound success. Beneath the surface lies a hidden world—a world ruled by the Great Families, an elite group whose wealth is only part of their power. For these families, strength is the ultimate currency, and disputes are settled not in boardrooms but in combat arenas. Whether through sparring matches or life-and-death duels, they prove their dominance with skill, strategy, and sheer might. Drawn into this dangerous realm of secret societies, high-stakes confrontations, and unrelenting ambition, Ethan must use every ounce of his intelligence, strength, and ingenuity to navigate the intricate web of power that surrounds him. Expect a whirlwind of twists, heart-pounding action, and moments of sheer wonder. From outsmarting ruthless rivals to unraveling the enigmatic traditions of the elite families, Ethan's journey is as unpredictable as it is thrilling. It's a story where rules bend, reality tilts, and every turn brings something unexpected. [A Friendly Note: If you find, after reading a few chapters, that this story doesn't suit your taste, please feel free to set it aside. There's no need for complaints or condemnations—I'm simply writing this for the joy of it and for those who find delight in the journey. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but I must admit I don't have the time or inclination to engage with negativity. Let's keep the spirit of fun alive!] [One last note: This story unfolds in a world similar to ours, but not quite the same. Don't be surprised if everyday rules of finance, law, or logic occasionally bow to the demands of adventure and storytelling. After all, where's the fun in sticking to the ordinary?]
