Love Affairs

In a beautiful garden which was filled with vibrant, colorful flowers in full bloom, surrounded by nicely trimmed tree shrubs that frame the vast green grass field. 

A grass of the highest quality, perfectly mowed.

A peaceful and serene place, offering a welcome sense of escape from the busy world.

Freya and Miriam were sparring to develop their martial arts skills. 

"Miriam, you're too slow. Show me your best moves. I haven't seen anything awesome from you," Freya goaded.

Freya lightly tapped Miriam's elbow, which she was using to block a punch.

"You're saying that because I can't use my full abilities here," Miriam retorted.

"Don't use that as an excuse. Abilities aren't everything. What would you do in a critical situation where you couldn't rely on your abilities?" Freya challenged.

As they continued sparring, Miriam attempted to land a hook punch, but Freya swiftly dodged and countered with a roundhouse kick to Miriam's left side. Miriam stumbled backwards but quickly regained her composure and launched a jab at Freya, who deflected it with ease. They continued exchanging blows. Freya utilized her strength and Miriam was relying more on her speed and agility. 

Miriam tried to land a quick jab to Freya's abdomen, but Freya blocked the strike with her left hand.

"You see, you almost dropped your guard too," Miriam commented.

To create a diversion, Freya flipped backward twice, putting distance between herself and Miriam. Miriam chased after her, flipping through the air in pursuit. She thought she had an opening to strike, but Freya was ready for her. Miriam closed in, attempting to grab Freya's leg, but Freya saw it coming.

Rather than perform a backward flip to create distance, Freya surprised Miriam by performing an advanced front somersault with a powerful jump.

She kicked her leg out as she landed. Miriam understood that she had walked into a trap. She raised her hands to protect herself from the incoming kick, but it was too late. 

At the last moment, Freya shifted her focus and redirected her leg, causing Miriam to stumble backward with the force of her own momentum.

"Freya, you're good, but I will have an upper hand" Miriam spoke out.

Freya leaped backward to create distance and prepared for her next move.

Miriam, her pride stung, slowly raised herself back to her feet. Despite her best efforts, she had underestimated Freya's attack. 

Miriam tried to create a distraction,

"Hmmm.why can't you be excellent in your love affairs" Miriam attacked with a punch.

"Enough with the distractions," Freya said, dodging another punch. "I know you're trying to divert my attention, but it won't work."

Miriam was relentless, she kept throwing punches at Freya but couldn't land any hit on her. The two fighters were evenly matched.

Nevertheless, Freya landed a swift kick to Miriam's stomach, sending her crashing to the ground.

" Now, I understand why you're always ranked top 1 in physical combat. But, I don't see that title staying long. You now have a competitor" Miriam laughed as she got up immediately and charged Freya.

Freya anticipated her move and countered with a powerful uppercut, but Miriam managed to counter that before it had full impact on her.

Freya saw that had no effect, so she grabbed Miriam, "I got you now. You're not going to be breaking away from my grasp for a while".

Miriam struggled to free herself from Freya's grip but failed. She knew she had no chance of winning this battle fairly. However, with another plan in mind, Miriam stared at Freya and whispered, "You have no idea who you're messing with."

"Freya, you can't deny your feelings any longer for Egon" Miriam sneered as she landed a punch on Freya's as she managed to break free with her left hand.

Miriam used her free arm to hit Freya's cheekbone. Freya stumbled back, her head spinning. Her mind raced as she tried to process Miriam's words and the sudden attack.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Freya spat out as she regained her footing. I don't like Egon! Stop it". She raised her fists, ready to defend herself.

"Oh really?" Miriam smirked, circling around Freya. "You think I haven't noticed the way you look at Egon? The way your eyes follow him when he passes you?"

Freya gritted her teeth. She had to focus, she had to block out Miriam's taunts. She lunged forward, delivering a series of quick jabs at Miriam's torso. Miriam dodged, dancing around Freya with ease.

"Face it, Lover Girl," Miriam taunted. "You're too weak to admit your feelings, too weak to fight for what you want."

"I could quite remember, when Egon said you were dating Leo, you became very angry. You actually wanted Egon to understand that you had eyes for no one, but he couldn't understand." Miriam spoke out.

Freya's hands shook with anger. She lunged again, this time with a fierce uppercut that caught Miriam off guard. Miriam stumbled back, her hand flying to her jaw.

"That's a lie" she added.

Miriam countered it and launched her blow. Freya wasn't quick enough to block Miriam's punch, taking half of the force with her hand. But the momentum was much which made her step backwards.

"I can't seem to see the reason why you're bringing up this issue?" Freya questioned.

Grumbling and stomping her feet on the ground like a child as she accused Miriam of cheating.

"I didn't cheat," said Miriam laughing,

"I simply used love words against you. In a battle you must always consider the opposite of your opponent's point of view." She then proceeded to showcase some impressive acrobatics.

She finally landed a kick on Freya's face - making her fall on the floor and ending the match in Miriam's favor. It was an unexpected ending.

Invigorated by winning so decisively, Miriam could hardly contain her excitement as she hopped up and down in triumph

"I won.... I won... I told you I would win" Miriam leaped with joy.

She Unaware that Freya was still on the ground, Miriam continued to exuberantly celebrate her victory until she suddenly noticed Freya lying prone nearby. Rushing over to her fallen opponent, Miriam apologized profusely.

"Freya, I'm so sorry – I didn't mean to hurt you," Miriam said remorsefully.

"I'm alright," Freya responded reassuringly as she got up with Miriam's help and dusted herself off.

Miriam then noticed a cut on Freya's forehead and offered a torn piece of cloth from her jumpsuit as a first aid. She bowed her head saying,

"Freya, Please forgive me. I didn't consider my actions properly" she asked for forgiveness once again despite being repeatedly assured by Freya that there was no need for it.

"it's only a match. you don't have apologize for that" Freya said on a tone as she tapped Miriam's shoulder.

"Don't worry about it," said Freya, "It's just a minor injury. My healing may not be super-fast like yours, but it would definitely heal" she said.

Freya walked to the bench in the garden and collected her phone.

"Miriam, I know you still doubt me about the Egon's incident . It's time to clarify your doubt" Freya told Miriam forgetting about their differences. She put a phone call to X6.

"Freya! What are you trying to do?"

Freya didn't answer Miriam and called X6,

"I want you to give me the house address of Egon smith"...
