Scene 7

(This scene opens with Chuks cleaning the car. Seconds later Titi walks up to him).

Titi: How far oga wants to know if the car is ready.

Chuks: Yes. I just dey clean some small things comot. The car don ready.

Titi: Okay.

(She walks back into the house and to Fredrick's study. She knocks).

Fredrick: Come in.

Titi: (Enters the room). Sir the car is ready.

Titi: Alright, thank you Titi. Tell Kunle to go get my things from my room, I'll be in the car.

Titi: Okay sir.

(She leaves the room. Fredrick stands up and looks around then adjusts his suit and leaves his room. He sees Ene as he leaves).

Ene: Ah sir, safe journey sir.

Fredrick: (Chuckles). Thank you. And again sorry for last night.

Ene: No problem sir... Na we make mistake.

Fredrick: Alright. Em, what about Anna, have you seen her this morning?

Ene: Ah oga she go wake up late o.

Fredrick: Alright. (He continues heading out. Chuks sees him).

Chuks: Oga, morning sir. The car is ready, let me go and wear clothe and come back.

(Fredrick nods his head, as he is about to enter his car he sees Anna coming in from the gate and stops. She is dressed in workout attire. Kunle also comes out with Fredrick's things).

Fredrick: I didn't take you for an early morning or workout person.

Anna: Yeah well nobody took Ford as a man who would be a billionaire or make history. But... you can goggle the rest.

Fredrick: (Snickers). Look about last night, I'm sorry if I might have been a bit harsh. I admit I was a bit harsh... I had a long day and then an argument popped up and then bad food came along, I just snapped and I'm sorry. (He waits for to say something but she doesn't).

Anna: What? I'm not giving the "I understand it's no problem sir" line, cause I'm good.

Fredrick: I ought to be surprised for a long while but your no rules rule is still ringing in my head... Thank you.

Anna: Nah it's nothing, I understand it's no problem sir.

(Fredrick looks at her as Chuks comes out dressed and goes to hold the door for him. Fredrick gives a slight smile and chuckles, turns around and enters the car).

Frederick: I'm going to miss this. (He mutters).

(Anna turns around with a smirk on her face and enters the house. She heads straight to the kitchen where Ene, Kunle and Titi are and they are singing as she enters and then she joins them. They stop and then turn around and see her. They pause the music).

Anna: Ah, mad jams... Wo I no get time, abeg una know where my package wey I tell Chuks make him buy come for me dey?

(All of them are speechless but they point to a bag on the other side of the kitchen on the counter and she goes to pick it up). Ese (Thank you). Abeg mama make una no forget me when food don ready oh, I dey H die. (She turns around and is leaving but when she reaches the door she speaks). And Kuns mad jam...

(She walks away humming and leaving the others completely shocked and fixed. She enters into her room dancing as she begin to empty the contents of the bag revealing super glue, glitter and other things. She smiles as she looks at them).

Anna: Time for party don reach.

Scene 7b

(This scene opens with Jennifer screaming Anna's name. Anna is shown in the kitchen drinking tea. Ene and Titi look at her and she looks back at them and smiles. She sips her tea again and walks out of the kitchen to meet Jennifer, Isaac and Whitney walking down the steps quickly).

Jennifer: Anna, Anna.

Anna: (Turns around and faces them). Eh una don wake?

Jennifer, Isaac and Whitney: What?

Anna: I say una don wake. How far, wetin sup? (They all look at her confusingly).

Jennifer: I don't understand a word you are saying. But can you explain why you forgot to wake us up for school this morning.

Anna: Who talk say I forget. (She takes her seat). You talk am yesterday say make I no forget and I no forget na, I no just wake una up na e be the thing.

Isaac: Why? (Anna shrugs her shoulder).

Jennifer: You know what that's irrelevant. Just get Chuks and tell him we are at the car. We are already late.

Anna: Ah Chuks no dey o. But don't worry, shay una know road to school na. (They look at her). You know where your school dey na?

All of them: Yes.

Anna: Oya start to dey trek.

All of them: What!

Anna: Water. I say make una start to dey trek, una don already late for school oh.

Whitney: How are we supposed to walk to school, it's a 45 minute drive from here.

Anna: No be me say make una wake up late, next time as 6 knack like this, gbam, you go comot from bed. (She stands up).

Jennifer: Where are you going?

Anna: To heaven, just after my room door.

Whitney: You are not following us?

Anna: Na me dey go school.

Isaac: What if something happens, what if we get kidnapped or something.

Anna: No fear, na Whitney suppose do that one, she small well well, so na she dem go first kidnap. But e go still give two of una time make una run comot. (They look at her in disbelief. She puts her ear phone in her ear and starts dancing to her room as they keep calling her. When she is gone and she doesn't answer them, they look at each other, then at the door. As they close their eyes they are shown in school as they enter their class during break period, panting and sweating).

Cynthia: Jennifer, guys what happened, this is short break. You guys have literally missed school. Why are you guys just coming now?

Isaac: Our... our nanny.

Amaka: What?

Whitney: We walked all the way to school, since 10 am.

Cynthia: Good lord walked?

Jennifer: Cynthia did you hear us say different.

Amaka: But you know the school is only a 45 minute drive from your home. This is 1:30pm. And you've been walking since 10?

Isaac: Yeah, it is the longest walk we've ever had.

Amaka: Why were you guys even walking?

Whitney: Our nanny.

Cynthia: You have a nanny?

Jennifer: Yes. We just said that.

Cynthia: And she made you guys walk to school?

Isaac: Jesus Cynthia, has your hearing gone wrong or something!

Whitney: I think it's the processing.

Jennifer: Both.

Amaka: Who is your nanny.

Jennifer, Isaac and Whitney: Anna!

Scene 7c

(This scene opens with Jennifer, Isaac and Whitney walking into the living room, looking exhausted. As they are about to take their seats Anna comes out of the kitchen with a glass of water in her hand).

Anna: Ah, ah my people, my people. Una welcome o. How school?

Whitney: School was terrible.

Anna: Ah, ah for why na?

Isaac: Because of you.

Jennifer: We were not only late but extremely late. We got to school only with one period left before closing.

Anna: Ah, but from here to school na only 45 minutes for motor na

All three of them: We know.

Whitney: We are not only tired and exhausted but we are also starving.

Isaac: Apparently somebody forgot to pack our launch. Who does that?

Anna: Nobody ooo. Sha food don ready make una... (They drop their bags and take a few quick steps in the direction of the kitchen before Anna stops them). Where una dey go?

Jennifer: Um, to the kitchen.

Anna: Pekele pakele. For wetin. Before you enter that place so, you go first go change, baff, brush, spray pef before una sit down for here dey chop. And you no go rush enter kitchen or rush come down, you go take everything jejely, na so life dey.(They all stare at her and she doesn't move). Why una dey look me, I no dey ask. Then when una ready come call me from my room. (They turn around and head upstairs tiredly. After 45 minutes they comes back down stairs and sit at the dining table).

Whitney: So who is going to call her?

Isaac: I'm too tired to go.

Jennifer: Isaac, go.

Isaac: No.

Jennifer: Now!

Isaac: Fine. (Isaac gets up and heads to Anna's room. He gets there and knocks on the door rudely, she doesn't respond. He knocks again and again and she doesn't respond. He yells her name but she also doesn't respond. He goes back and meets his sisters). She is not answering me.

Jennifer: Maybe if you knock in a way that we don't hear it from the living room she might. (Whitney nods her head).

Whitney: Isaac please go back I'm hungry!

(Isaac turns back and goes to her room again and stands in front of her door. He lifts his hand with force about to knock on the door forcefully when he stops. He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door gently, immediately she opens the door).

Isaac: You were directly behind the door the whole time.

(She looks at him and he looks back at her. She then shoulder shrugs. She walks past him and he follows her behind. She enters the kitchen while Isaac joins his sisters and sits quietly. Seconds later Anna comes out of the kitchen with a tray of food then drops it on the table. She goes back for another tray and in it are plates, cups and cutlery. She sets the table and then serves the food. Once she is done, she steps aside, standing beside the chair at the head of the table as they all look excited and Isaac rubs his hands before they all start to eat. One spoon of food in their mouth and they look at each other for three seconds before they spit it out).

Isaac: What in the Lords name is this?

Anna: Which kind question be that. Food na.

Whitney: Well it doesn't taste like it.

Jennifer: I thought you said that the food was just prepared as we came in, why is it so cold?

Anna: I been put am for fridge so e no for spoil before una come down back.

Isaac: Fridge! You put it in the freezer, there is ice in this thing, it's ice.

Anna: Fridge oh or freezer oh, both of them dey cold, na why I put am for there.

Jennifer: Okay fine, you put it where you want. Now just go microwave it.

Anna: Microwave don pafuka. E don spoil.

Isaac: When, how. It was fine yesterday!

(Isaac puts his head on the table, Whitney leans back on her chair and Jennifer runs her hand through her hair).

Whitney: First we walk all the way to school for hours and get there extremely late. Then we had no breakfast, no launch and now no dinner.

Isaac: I doubt that this food was prepared as we came in.

Jennifer: (Looks up slowly to Anna). You, you planned this, you intentionally did this. (Isaac lifts his head and him and Whitney look to Anna's direction).

Whitney: I'm calling dad. (She checks her phone and searches for her dad's number and she doesn't find it). Dad's number is gone. (Isaac and Jennifer look at her then check their phones too. They raise their heads up and look at each other when the number is not there). Aunt Lorry. (They also check their phones and see that it's not there. They look at each other again before they look at her).

Jennifer: Oh my God, you did this, you did this. The waking up late, the no food for the entire day, the missing numbers, you set us up. You knew that we would rush and you took the opportunity to delete the numbers, how did you even get our pin? Do you have camera's in our rooms? (Anna just shrugs her shoulder). You will not get away with this.

Anna: Amen. Abeg when una finish clear the table biko, wash the plates, make e shine. Then sweep palor and the place where una chop then brush your teeth and baff before una go sleep by 10 on the dot pere.

(They all look at her, dumbfounded).

Whitney: We just brushed out teeth's and there is nothing on the floor. It's impossible for this ice to melt anytime soon. And... (She looks at the time on her phone). And it's almost 10 pm.

(Anna yawns, turns around and heads to her room. As she is going back they quickly start clearing the table. Anna smiles as she goes to her room).
