chapter 41: stay close to me

  After his morning conversation with Toshiaki, Agnellus mind become overwhelmed with questions. He pondered on the things that were said by both Toshiaki and Madam Arya and acknowledged that he had been too naive in his thinking, towards his himself and the needs of his own people.

But what bothered him most was Toshiaki's question about 'freedom', as a slave who had always been told, his only role in society was to serve his master, he knew of nothing else. But what 'if' he were? Would that mean he would no longer be able to remain aside the prince? The thought created an uncomfortable feeling in his heart. 

"What are you thinking about?" Li Hung's who was walking beside him, and had sensed a change in the omega, curiously asked. 

"Oh…. I'm not thinking of anything, your majesty" Agnellus hung his head low, as he walked side by side with Li Hung. For some reason, he glances in the direction of Madam Arya, to receive a cold glare.
