Don't insult my mother

Rain and Agu strode to the palace the moment the sun made its first appearance in the sky.

Rain's palms were extra sweaty, and he rubbed them, to ease the tension.

"What's wrong?" Agu glanced over at him.

"Today is the day." Rain said in a small voice. "It's going to be a long one." He sighed.

"Hopefully, this might be the day that gives Tarmixan the freedoms we had craved for, for nineteen years." Agu glanced up at the roof of the palace. "It has been long since I heard the laughter of the people of Tarmixan.

Darkness took over when the wicked sat on the throne."

Rain nodded. "For the people of Tarmixan, I hope everything is solved today. Though I'm not concerned about that. All I've ever cared about is Lyre." He glanced towards the window. "I hope he's safe."

Agu placed a hand on Rain's shoulder. "Your Lyre is safe. You don't have to worry about him." He forced a smile. "Cheer up. You don't want your uncle to start suspecting you."
