Chapter 4 Olivia’s desire

Olivia squeezed her hands, “Please, Natalia. Find him. I want to make him my boyfriend.”

Natalia peered at her with disbelief. She wondered how Olivia could imagine dating someone she didn't know properly. That man could deceive her, break her heart mercilessly. And what's more, he could turn out to be an abusive man.

No... she couldn't let Olivia suffer the same pain that she had before.

“Are you out of your mind?” Natalia grunted furiously as she jerked her hands back. “How can you trust someone you don’t know? That man can be dangerous. Focus on your study other than running your mind in unimportant matters.”

“Urge…” Olivia rolled her eyes, clenching her fists. “Natalia, you are too much. Sometimes I feel like you are not my sister, but an enemy.”

“Stop ranting…” Natalia sprang on her legs and went to check the clipboard, hanging beside the bed.

Olivia pouted, casting an angry look at her. She muttered something under her breath and then said, “All men are not like your scumbag ex-husband.”

Natalia froze when she heard Olivia mention her ex-husband. Goosebumps still pricked all over her body upon remembering him. He was a nightmare for her. Every day, she fought to get over this terrible man. But the pain he inflicted on her was so deep that she could not forget it.

“Some men are truly good… just like this guy.” Olivia’s crisp voice brought her back to reality.

“He came as a hero to rescue me from getting raped by those thugs. Dad could get killed if he didn’t show up. You should be thanking him.”

“I am grateful to him for his deeds,” Natalia responded coldly. “But it doesn’t mean that we can trust him blindly.”

“Natalia…”

“Enough…” Natalia raised her hand and silenced her. She gave Olivia her medication. “Rest well. I will come later.”

She hurried out shortly thereafter.

Olivia snorted and mumbled as she took the medicine Natalia gave her, “Do you think I will never find him if you don't look for him? I will have Dad track him down.”

She smiled abundantly, anticipating a hot guy like Vincent her boyfriend.

************************************************************************

Oscar Griffin was discharged after recuperating in the hospital for a few days. His wound had not completely healed, but he was no longer as weak as before.

Natalia and Olivia were happy seeing him come home. Olivia was waiting for a chance to speak with her father discreetly while Natalia was busy taking care of him. She was optimistic that he would find that hot guy if she requested him.

“Grandpa…” The apple of everyone’s eyes rushed towards Oscar.

"Hahaha..." Oscar laughed from the bottom of his heart, "Oh, dear, Jonathan. You are back from school.”

Jonathan grinned widely and ran up to his grandfather.

“Hold on…” Natalia stopped him before he could reach Oscar. She was a little worried that he could touch Oscar’s wound.

“Be careful. Your grandpa got hurt, remember,” She reminded him.

“Oops…” Jonathan covered his mouth with his tiny palm. “Sorry, mummy. I will be careful.”

“Come here.” Oscar grabbed his hand and drew Jonathan closer to him. He pulled him onto his lap and kissed his cheeks.

“Dad, your wound is not healed yet.”

“Oh my God, Natalia… You are overprotective.” Olivia sulked. “I think you should leave for the office. I can take care of dad.”

Natalia scowled at her with disbelief. Olivia, who couldn't even take care of herself, talked about taking care of her father.

Did the incident a few days back truly changed her?

"You can't even get my ball out of the cabinet. How are you going to look for Grandpa?"

“Huh?” Olivia’s pupils expanded while her jaw fell apart as she watched at Jonathan with astonishment.

What Jonathan said, stunned Natalia as well. He asked the question that she wanted to ask. It was as though he could read her mind.

Natalia was amused simultaneously, but she controlled her laughter and said in a warning tone, “You shouldn’t talk to your elders in this way. Apologize to your auntie.

“Sorry aunt,” Jonathan docilely apologized to Olivia.

Olivia pouted and crossed her arms over her chest, pretending to be upset.

“Hahaha…” Oscar couldn’t help but laugh to see Jonathan so obedient.

“Alright…” Natalia’s attention shifted to Olivia, “I have Margarette to take care of dad. You should go to college.”

Olivia pouted even more and looked here and there, not willing to listen to her.

Natalia let out a sigh, shaking her head. Then she turned to Oscar, “I am heading to the office. Rest well.”

Then she put Jonathan up on his feet and squatted in front of him as she instructed him, “Don’t trouble grandpa. Let him take a rest. And don't go out on the terrace on your own."

"You give the same instructions repeatedly."

Natalia smiled and kissed his cheeks, “I know you are smart. See you in the evening.”

“Bye, mummy.”

Jonathan wrapped his arms around her neck and kissed her cheek, making Natalia grin even wider.

She pulled back and left in a hurry after saying goodbye to them.

Jonathan turned to Olivia and asked cautiously, “Are you angry with me, aunt?”

Olivia smiled as she crouched down in front of Jonathan, “Not at all.”

She leaned at him slightly, whispering in his ear, "I told you not to call me aunt."

“Okay, Olivia…” He smiled.

Olivia patted his shoulder, “Okay, buddy. Can you go out and play? I have something to talk to your grandpa about.”

“Alright…”

As Jonathan dashed out, Oliva sprang to her legs and approached Oscar.

“Dad, I have a request.” She sat down beside him, smiling abundantly.

Oscar thought she would ask him to increase her pocket money. He lay on the bed and said flippantly, “If you want more allowance, ask your sister, not me.”

“Dad, I don’t need more money,” She exclaimed, apparently annoyed.

But soon her smile resumed as she said, “I want you to find the man who saved us.”

“I have already asked Joseph to track him down,” An indifferent reply came from Oscar.

However, a frown gradually surfaced on his face as he felt something strange.

“But why are you asking about him?”

“Um…” Olivia scratched her forehead nervously. “Dad…” she pouted, pretending to be annoyed.

“I didn’t even thank him for that day. He saved me and you. Shouldn’t you reward him?”

“You don’t have to worry about that.” Oscar turned to the other side, but he glanced back at her with a scowl on his face, “Aren’t you going to the college?”

Olivia grimaced. She planned on bunking the class. However, under the pressure of her father and the keen eyes of Natalia, she could do nothing of what she desired.

“Dad… you just came back today. I want to look after you.” She took his hand into her and threw an imploring look at him.

“Alright, alright… go out now. I want to get some rest." He motioned her to leave.

“Thank you, Dad,” Olivia exclaimed excitedly and hurried out with a gleeful smile on her face.
