Chapter 41 School Affairs (Part 2)

The afternoon classes consisted mostly of familiar classmates. Pei Ye, carrying his backpack, walked in, finding only a few people already there.

He had hurriedly left earlier, of course, to avoid the impending awkwardness. Now, entering the door, there were still several moments until the class would start.

However, the few people in the room were familiar faces from the "West Pond Poetry Meeting" he had encountered that day, still gathered together discussing the many arrangements for the day of the meeting.

At that moment, Pei Ye realized that they, like him, were first-year students at the National University and newcomers in the Scholars' Grove. It seemed to be their first attempt at holding a poetry meeting, and many of the discussed details sounded inexperienced.
