In the end, after chatting for a while, Di Tou noticed it was going late and mentioned he had to go and eat, and after rejecting a passionate invitation to stay for dinner, Di Tou was escorted out by Old Gao who was repeatedly reminding him to visit again and to stay in contact.
Standing outside in the cold breeze, Di Tou could only admit that some problems would solve themselves and giving them too much thought was just a waste of effort more than anything else. Old Gao, whom he had thought would be the most difficult to explain things to, and he had a headache about making a request from, ended up talking himself into thinking everything was okay as soon as Di Tou had pointed out his identity as an Academy Lecturer.
