43 . The disgruntled drunks , a boring fight and obvious attraction

POV : MIKAEL 

" You did it !!! " 

At some point after he finished the entire barrel under the crowd's constant cheer , Rebecca had managed to come behind him also shouting happily in his ears . 

Mikael despite the high amount of alcohol he had drunk , was very conscious of his surroundings and therefore had already caught the figure of Von and Renny among the cheering crowd . Von a more loud figure in the crowd while Renny was silent his eyes holding a calculative glint that promised a growing scheme . A scheme Mikael was ever preparing himself to happen 

" Rich ! I'm Rich !! Hahahaha !" Old Henry had gone crazy by what he could see or a more simple reality was that he was blinded by his greed and with how happily he was dancing and laughing that was probably true . Or was this an act . Mikael had already put it to mind that Old Henry had a strange background or the people backing him were equally strange . 

' He needed to get out of here . ' That was what Mikael thought . He'd rather not deal with whatever Renny wanted at this moment . He also had an act that he needed to maintain in front of the group and Mikael would rather not have it broken by what people would consider drank mumblings . 

Mikael fell backwards into Rebecca's soft welcoming hands . Being careful to not put his entire wait on her as he pushed his body to completely be in touch with her . 

He made sure his face was still rosy from the drinks as he brought himself close to her ear clearly past normal comfort zone and made sure to slowly and seductively whisper into her ear . 

" Accompany me . . . to my room " He made sure to lay his head on her nape taking a deep breathe as he noticed her already red skin going scarlet . 

He lowered his gaze to meet her eyes and Mikael could already see the acceptance from her eyes . The growing desire and lust and the increased warmth that came from her body . She nodded her head slowly but steadily to show her acceptance and Mikael was not one to waste time . 

" Woooohhhh " " Take me too !! " " Whisstttllleeee ! "

Under the cat calling and cheers from the crowd Mikael made sure to stick to Rebecca as they moved away from the tavern to head up to his room . A quick movement that only made the already rowdy crowd crazier . 

Mikael smiled all the way , maintaining his jolly appearance as he gave a silent wink and nod to those he passed by .

What he made sure was that his eyes never met with either of Renny and Von . Something had changed that he was unaware of from the two , something that was very not favorable to him . In fact , he would prefer as keeping as much distance away from the two as possible . Their intent were definitely not friendly 

He walked away with the shy Rebecca as they completely left the tavern building and headed to the hostel area which was joined to the tavern by a short corridor . 

Now that Mikael thought about it , Old Henry's family looked to be quite influential with how many buildings he owned . Or did he even own any of this buildings . His less misty eyes turned to look at Rebecca beside him . A growing suspicion he had been ignoring but now that he though about it , who was this girl . 

Mikael studied her features . Her scarlet cheeks that led up to her neck , her quick shallow breathe as she pressed her body against his own and the quick glances that she spared his way and he shook his head in denial . 

He thought about Old Henry . Maybe he was just a rich old man that had more money that he knew what to do with it Mikael did not know . For now , he had something to handle . 

" Go ahead . I'll catch up " His voice was still slow and gentle but it had that breathy feel that sent a shiver down Rebecca . 

In a surprising burst of confidence , Rebecca went on her tiptoes and easily reached his height . Her lips met his first with a quick peck before she once again leaned in fully to join them .

Her tongue quickly rushed in to explore his mouth as soon as he gave permission in an exchange of saliva and tongue . Mikael not one to sit back joined the battle of dominance happening in their mouths , his own tongue tracing the inside of hers 

" Uhhh " She pulled back breathing heavily as he fully leaned her body towards him in a tight hold 

" I'll wait for you . " Her voice was low but Mikael could hear the underlying lust and desire . She did something else that surprised him by giving him a seductive smile a slight tease of her own and she quickly turned and walked away to his room . 

Mikael was surprised but not overly so . It seemed he had made an irregular judgement on Rebecca's personality by how she behaved . Could the shy girl he though he was turn out to be a closet seductress he did not know . But , with how her hips swayed as she walked away , the thought could not be impossible . But why did it feel like she was still a maiden ? 

" Heheeh . Why don't you all come out now boys ! "

His earlier rosy features turned a little crooked as he smiled strangely at the path behind him in mocking disgust . 

How did this juniors think they could ambush a senior such as himself . How dare they use such a poor art of stealth against him . They hardly covered their smell , noises or the sound of their footsteps ! Were they looking down on him . 

" Boss , I think he found us " That was the stupidest reply Mikael had ever heard in his life

A voice finally said after a period had passed . Awkward and nervous before the pathetic party walked forward . A group that now that he studied he was sure he knew very well . In fact , he had seen them earlier with a certain man that had a golden tooth whom at this moment was missing . 

" How did he notice us !? " a buff guy with a punchable face said

" This feels like a bad idea ! " a scrawny guy said 

" Ha ! He can't handle all of us ! " The shortest of them all said

" Hey boy , why don't you take out all ya cash and will spare ya ! Hahahah . " The ugly boss proposed

Was that it , money !! Mikael could not have been even more disappointed than he felt now . He at least thought they were part of a hidden contestant group which had decided to finally act but with how they behaved , they were normal greedy in world characters . A true disappointment

The real question though was whether killing them would earn him anything . Would his Killer title increase it's count . Mikael knew the answer was simple . It would not .

He thought how he had first acquired that title by killing that Serial killer called Tom and how the system had explained to him the only reason he got the Title was a mixture of three things . It being a beginner world , Tom's status as a killer and most importantly , his high worth . So in short , only killing contestants would raise his Killer title . 

" Hey , is this pretty boy scared silent ! Hahaha " the buff guy once more said , his voice course and scratchy

" Maybe he's peed his pants . Hahaha " the scrawny guy joined in equally mocking

" Don't worry boy . I'll be sure to take care of you ! " the dwarf said with a disgusting voice that sent a shiver down his back . Which instantly annoyed him . 

He was annoyed , they gave him no benefit by dying and their was a freaking gay dwarf among them . How could a group exist having qualities that annoyed him so much ? Truly disappointing 

Lucky for them , he did not want to kill them and unluckily for them . . . he did not want to kill them . A true paradox if he ever thought of one .

" I'll make this quick . " The group of four looked confused but their expression quickly changed to panic .

POV : GOONS

They wanted to laugh at the boy's arrogance but they quickly turned shocked 

" What ! " " How ! " " Help . . . "

The boy had taken one step and arrived directly in front of ugly John and attacked with a strike at his throat . It was so fast that it happened before any of them could react , one moment they were laughing and the other Ugly John was holding his throat in pain

Ugly John started coughing madly his eyes going red as he tried to regain a semblance of breathe . He looked so weak , which shocked them because ugly John was the biggest of them !! 

The boy left leg whipped forward . In a complete wide arc that sounded like dynamites' as it landed on Ugly John's face , knocking him out .

-Thud - Ugly John Had passed out 

' ' ' Shit !! ' ' ' The three goons thought knowing they had messed up . 

" Charge !!! Their boss Don said and the three of them rushed forward in a mad dush . The boy could handle one of their biggest guy so quickly but could he handle all of them at once . They had a chance , as long as they ganged up on him , they could win ! 

The boy had turned to look at the approaching figures and did nothing . The three almost shouted in Joy , yes he should just let them bit him up ! 

All their attacks were launched at the same time and they were sure this was it , until it wasn't 

- Thud - - Crack -

That was the collectives sound of their fists hitting something that was definitely not flesh and the bones in their hands breaking soon after . 

What was this guy made of , Stone !!

Dread had started settling in as they realized the mistake they had made . Not running away when they had the opportunity !

A sudden wave of death washed over them . Their bodies natural instinct to a superior hunter was to stall as they felt it was impossible to move away from where they were . 

Like a knife was held to their throats . 

The boy quickly took hold of two of the three head that had stopped in front of him . The unlucky two Boss Don and Scrawny Jeff quickly started to panic but their bodies refused to move .

- Thud - - Thud - -Thud - - Crack -

In a viscous slam , the two heads crushed against each other once , twice , thrice and then something cracked as the boy left the two bodies fall . Bloodied , a mixture of something that the final goon , Tiny John vomited after seeing . 

" Please . . please , I was just joking , please , spare meeee !!! " Tiny John begged snot oozing sown his nose and saliva disgustingly flying from his mouth .

" You said something about taking care of me , right ?" The boy said smiling , a wide malevolent smile that made Tiny John go white . He had never regretted saying something than as he did now 

" Please let me goooooarrrrrgrgggghhhh !! "

 POV : MIKAEL 

The beat down had been boring and disappointing . Nothing of worth to speak . Good thing for them was they weren't dead just injured , deformed but alive ! 

Good thing for him , he had gotten something valuable from the goons , an item . And surprisingly the item looked as if it was from a fellow contestant . How this group of thieves got it , Mikael could never know . Maybe by their luck they found an injured contestant and finished the job . Or maybe they picked it up by chance . But why did Mikael feel as if it was something else .

The beat down as well as the item become a fleeting moment in his mind as he reached the door to his room .

What should he expect now that he knew Rebecca wasn't as shy as he though she was . Only one way to find out . The door creaked open and their on his bed was his meal . Delicious , succulent and ready to eat . 

" Yummy "

NEXT CHAP STARST WITH A SHORT STEAMY SCENE . I'LL SAY THIS AHEAD OF TIME . I WONT BE WRITING AND ENTIRE ECCHY SCENE . JUST MILDLY HINTING AT IT HAPPENING
