Chapter 1Prologue

And the disaster came.

Scientists and non-scientists had been warning about the end of the world for years. They had described it in countless ways.

Asteroid impact, global warming, supervolcano eruption, climate change, etc... These are some of the reasons scientists used to warn of the inevitable.

Alien Invasion, IA... They are the "supernatural" theories that warned the magical fanatics.

Although everyone was right in predicting the end of the world, no one was right about the real reason the world came to an end.

June 7, 2019, now known as Day 0 in the New Age Calendar.

That day was marked as the end of the era of human domination on earth. Humans, then numbering 7545 million people, were massacred.

Only 25% of the human population survived day 0, that figure dropped to 10% over the next two days.

All of Africa, Central America, South America were completely eradicated. In Asia only titans like China, Korea and Japan survived.

The United States suffered a great blow, losing 40 states before being able to react, leaving only 8 states alive. Canada was completely annihilated.

Europe reacted quickly. England survived the catastrophe with no apparent damage, France joined Spain and barely succeeded. Germany and Italy achieved a similar result to England.

Countries such as Norway, Sweden and Finland became safe havens for politicians and royalty from weak countries.

Russia abandoned its less inhabited areas and focused on defending its area in Europe. Turkey made the same decision, surviving with difficulty.

Hidden forces from different countries, which had been hidden for countless years, had come to light at this time of crisis.

Cultivators in China, ninjas in Japan, knights of the round table in England, Olympus in Italy, Valhalla in Germany and Blue Dragon in the USA.

All these organizations, many of which were just legends for ordinary people, came out to defend their respective countries from catastrophe.

The reason for the catastrophe was very simple.

God was bored of humans!

God, the entity that had created the world and all its species, had been bored to see that humans had changed nothing in thousands and thousands of years.

Humans had advanced technologically, but they were still fighting each other. Wars in Africa, technological wars, financial wars.

Humans searched for more and more power, they never got tired of it.

God decided to alleviate his boredom and decided to reverse the situation in the world. Animals that were hunted by humans were transformed into hunters.

God altered the genes of all species, turned all species into murderous monsters. These monsters had the mission of hunting humans, even former herbivores like cows and goats were turned into monsters that ate humans.

How did they know this?

On day 0 countless angels were deployed to all corners of the earth led by the 3 archangels. They all carried the same message.

"The divine punishment has already come, God has abandoned faith in you and has decided to destroy you."

Despair came to human beings at that moment. People watched as their beloved pets became monsters and ate them alive. Zones with zoos were hell.

Hope came within 3 days of the catastrophe.

The different powers realized that each time a monster was killed a strange energy entered the body of the person who killed the monster, increasing that person's power slightly.

Humanity clung to that little hope and struggled to survive.

As time passed, humanity continued to make new discoveries. Eating and drinking the blood of monsters also increased the power of humans.

Flesh and blood became precious objects.

Humanity's greed acted again. The rich kept most of the resources for themselves while the common people fought among themselves to get their hands on the precious resources.

Then in year 2 of the new era came the second catastrophe.

As there were not enough humans to survive, the monsters began to eat each other. The monsters grew in level and began to awaken special abilities.

Humanity had to put wars aside and refocused on monsters. This time they could not suppress them at all so they had to form a global alliance, HAM.

Thanks to the global resources together with the great technology of USA they created an artificial portable island. Here they created an academy for children under the age of 25 in which the younger generation would learn to fight monsters.

The academy occupied the center of the island and was surrounded by a forest that reached the shores of the island.

This academy was called Hunter Academy.

Intergalactic conquest with an AI

Rex was just another slave in the corporate machine, a faceless office worker under the shadow of one of the galaxy's powerful megacorps. His life was predictable and dull, an endless cycle of meaningless reports and fluorescent-lit monotony. That was, until that day.... When a new world was discovered on the outskirts of the galaxy, Rex, like countless other low-ranking employees, found himself dragged into a contract clause he’d barely skimmed years ago. The megacorp ordered him and his coworkers to pack their lives into a transport pod and leave for the unexplored planet. Their mission? Establish a colony. Mine resources. Make the company richer. There was no choice, refusing meant ruin. At first, everything seemed manageable. The days were grueling, the nights cold, but progress was steady. The colony was coming to life. Until the excavation team struck something. No one knew what it was at first, a buried hive, a forgotten ecosystem, or something ancient and dangerous. Whatever it was, it unleashed hell. Swarms of enormous, chittering creatures erupted from the ground, their jagged bodies blotting out the sky. The colony fell into chaos. Screams echoed through the air as the bugs tore through everything in their path, walls, machines, and people. Rex barely survived. Bloodied, broken, and pinned beneath the rubble, he should have died there. But in the pitch-black silence of his fading consciousness, a voice spoke to him. Cold. Mechanical. Otherworldly. "Do you wish to live?" When Rex woke, he was no longer the man he’d been. His body was no longer human flesh and bone but something far more alien. His skin shimmered with living metal, his mind infused with the power of Cleo, a mysterious AI from a long-extinct, robotic race known as the Kaelzars. Cleo’s presence pulsed through his thoughts, guiding him and transforming him. He wasn’t just alive. He was reborn. But survival came at a price. Rex was no longer a pawn of the megacorp; he was something more dangerous, something they couldn’t control. As Cleo’s intentions began to reveal themselves, Rex found himself standing on the precipice of war, not just with the bugs but with forces far greater than he could have imagined. This was the beginning of a journey through blood-soaked battlefields and treacherous alliances. Along the way, Rex would encounter allies, brilliant, flawed, and unpredictable, and enemies whose ambitions were as sharp as their blades. These weren’t disposable foes, easily crushed by an overpowered hero. They were cunning, relentless, and human in the most terrifying ways. But then again, in war, who can truly be called a villain? Ashes Of Deep Sea

Duncan Abnomar was transmigrated to a magical world. Most of the lands of the world had sunken, and the surviving humans could only live on islands. Due to an unknown reason, the world was also contaminated and strange phenomena and things would randomly appear. Humans had developed steam gear technology, and the islands were connected through boats. They survived by studying strange phenomena that happened all around the world. However, as the captain of a scary-looking ghost ship, Duncan was facing a huge challenge. "How the heck do I steer this ship?" Highly recommended by experienced editor: MC is transmigrated to a world mostly covered in water and far from civilization. He becomes the captain of the ghost ship, the 'Homeloss'. He steers through the fog and adventures through the broken world and the unknown deep sea. As he discovers the ruins of abandoned civilization, he would also stumble into the war between the strange phenomena and the devil gods. The story takes place in a combination of ocean and Chutly mythology world, a new and interesting background. It’s an attractive story to read due to the author’s sense of humor and mastery over the ambiance of the story. --------------- Another-style introduction: "On that day, a thick fog engulfed everything. On that day, he became the captain of a ghost ship. On that day, he crossed the dense fog and faced a completely overturned and shattered world – the former order was completely gone, and peculiar phenomena dominated the endless seas beyond civilized society. The island city-states and the fleets challenging the sea have become the only lights of civilization left, while the shadows of old days still lurk in the deep sea, waiting to devour this dying world again. But for the new captain, there's only one pressing question – Does anyone know how to sail this damn ship?!"
