"Rory what's with that expression? Did you cut yourself again." Lily was still clutching the hurt arm even tighter with two large concerned eyes.
Her lips quivered with her almond eyes starting to grow wet.
At this extreme reaction, Rory just looked impatient.
I really don't have time, ok!
"Lily don't bother yourself, you know you've done everything you can." One of her concerned friends went up and rubbed Lily's shoulder.
Lily shook her head in denial, "No I refuse how can I just watch him kill himself! Look at you Rory, the dark circles under your eyes... are you using again!"
Inside Lily was giddy, when she saw Rory's project she couldn't help but feel threatened again.
Anyone who knew about business knew that Rory's explanation wasn't just worth an A it was genius.
Original and unthought of, that was the key to making money it the business world and Rory just showed both in a college project.
Lily didn't know what to think of it!
However, the business world wasn't just a good mind, it was worth nothing without connections!
Who in here would want to work with some emo druggy!? She would still destroy this bitch.
"Where is it on you?" With frantic hands she started to grab at Rory's jacket trying to rip it off of him!
Undressing him by force in front of an entire class room? She was clearly stepping on Rory's face!
Rory grabbed Lily's hand that was wrapping around her wound.
"Lily stop." Her voice was light and followed with a sigh.
She looked defeated.
Lily was surprised at the expression. While the majority of the school didn't know she started the face note campaign for Rory to kill himself, he definitely did!
Wasn't his way of acting to her exposing all of his darkest secrets too calm?
Also, why was he looking at her like he sincerely needed help? He had to know she hated him!
"You are right... I should get help." The guy said in ponder.
Lily paused.
She watched Rory let go of her hand and pull out his phone.
Eh! Did this bastard lose his fight!? What should I even say to that?? No you shouldn't get help, you should just go die!
She was confused, however it still worked in her favor after all, the idiot was admitting to everything...
But, she was almost sure that Rory wasn't an idiot...
"Hello, yes I would like to report an assault, robbery, and defamation on campus... we are in the economics building, room 116... am I currently safe..."
Lily's eyebrows shot to the sky!
Rory glanced at the hand still grabbing her arm. Then blinked.
"No I still feel like I'm in danger..."
"You are going to far Rory!" Lily's friend gasped out in outrage.
What kind of man was this?! To call the police on a female attacker that was his cousin? Even if he was a gay, did he have any masculinity as a man at all!
Lily's friends were completely outraged. Yet, if the campus police were coming they really didn't want to be involved.
Everyone knew that the campus police were unbiased and did a thorough investigation in every incident. They would be here for hours!
"Hey Lily let's just go." One of Lily's friends whispered while tapping on Lily's shoulder.
Lily stared at Rory in anger. This person... This person simply just didn't follow logic!!!
Multiple tests were coming up at the end of the week and no one wanted to get caught up in a police investigation. Was he crazy?
Lily's lips tightened.
If she left now, she would be throwing doubt on her words. After all, why was the one that supposedly cut himself and had drugs on him, so confident in talking to the police, yet she wasn't?
But if she stayed she would spend the entire rest of her day at the campus police station!
She wasn't even sure if Rory had actually cut himself and with how confidently he called the police, she really didn't think he had drugs on him at all.
It would be seen as defamation!
She was in a lose-lose situation.
"Let's go." Lily bit her lips harshly before turning around.
Her eyes were extremely dark as she retreated.
Rory Hynes... when did he become a threat?
She had done so much to insure that she was grandpa's only hope for a successor in her generation. In her pursuit who knew how many people she had destroyed.
Losing now? There was no fucking way.
"Ok, I'll try my best to get to safety until you are here..." Rory's voice trailed off as she watched the door close behind Lily.
Then she simply clicked off her phone before leaving as well.
Really calling the police? Who had time for it?!
Rory wrapped her school jacket around herself tighter before practically jogging to her dorm room.
Already the Boston weather was taking a turn for the worse and if it was anything like New York, she was sure by November they would be three feet in snow.
As for right now it was just cold and violent winds.
By the time Rory got to the dorm her pale face was covered in an aggressive red blush.
"Heh?"
Her eye widened at the man sitting on the dorm room couch after missing for five days. His eyes weren't looking at her, instead fully focused on the laptop in front of him.
As always he was wearing casual dark colored clothes.
Hearing her remark, Knox raised a dark eyebrow while still typing on his grey laptop.
"You don't sound very happy to see me?"
"What are you talking about! So... so happy..." Rory said through a very obviously fake smile.
Knox felt his lips tilt up unnoticeably. Idiot.
He set his laptop aside on the couch and motioned to the living room floor, which was a complete mess.
The coffee table was dragged to a corner and in the middle was a bunch of computer machinery material.
"What is this?"
Rory winced looking at the mess. Since it was her building space, she really didn't see it as that bad.
But, now she was looking at it from an objective place... it might be a teeny bit messy.
