Ben 10: Apex Hero

You know the story. Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson, his ten-year-old paternal first-cousin Gwen, and their paternal Grandpa Max start their summer camping trip. Ben goes stomping off into the woods after another fight with Gwen, whom he is not happy to have along on the trip, and is almost crushed when a meteor crash lands, only to discover it’s an alien cargo pod. When he examines it, he finds a mysterious, watch-like device, called the Omnitrix. As Ben reaches inside the pod for it, the device attached permanently to his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a numerous variety of alien life-forms, each with their own unique powers and abilities. Although Ben realizes that he has a responsibility to help and save others with these new abilities at his disposal, he is not above a little ten-year-old super-powered mischief now and then. Along with Gwen and Max, Ben embarks on an adventure to fight evil, both extraterrestrial and earthly. But what if someone else finds himself in Ben's place? Someone who has a different personality from the original superhero, not afraid of dirtying his hands seeking to satisfy his endless ambition. AU. Harem. +18 just to be safe. *Eventually synopsis might change to less lame one... tags may change as well, depending on the progression of the story. Disclaimer, this is a fan-fic, so credit goes to original authors. And this is a world of fiction. Names, characters, business, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictional manner. An Ode to What Remained

“Only when it ends!” Sola cried. “And then what?” the Old World asked. Sola could only look back in shame at those pitiful mammals, as the "Longing" forced that silver on their fingers and their fingers around their supervisors' throats. She couldn't even imagine how it must have felt for that thing to seduce their spinal cords and slither into their periaqueductal grey. As she sank deeper into the temperate embrace of "Order", a quiver coursed through some of her layers, swallowing unimportant third-world villages and economically destroying some coastal cities. At last, she too had gotten over herself and her little dalliance with Longing. Who could’ve known that the remedy for heartbreak had always been: Forty-two million casualties, an unprecedented intersolairial union, and forty-eight years of progressive cultural and intellectual stagnation—certainly not her. “Adieu!” She waved as the ship distanced itself from the sizzling shore of frantically gathered history. Long gone were the smokey memories of rebellion, innovation, and hope. Taken by the ash, carried to the railing, and surrendered to the red waves. Nothing but soggy mind pictures, castles in the sky, drug-induced disruptions of neurotransmitters, and juvenile phases. “Maturing takes sacrifices, and these," the clear waters whispered, “were worth it.” Rail carriages drove when turned on. Rain dropped from the airship-dotted skies. The veil devoured reality. Sol sat on his throne. All was normal on Sola... But what’s that? There at the coast. Did the blood waves not wash up the corpse of the past? It couldn't have been suicidality that ripped open the discolored tissue while it wriggled and writhed its way to the primary motor cortex. Did forgetfulness make the molten pinky and ring fingers twitch? Maybe perseverance forced the purge fluid to escape through the mouth and nose. Who cares? What mattered was that the question was never answered.

The Drifter's Second Life

What is a Drifter? A Drifter is someone who does not have a house or a proper job. He’s constantly on the move and does not stay in the same place for a long time. Because he doesn’t have a place he can call home. ***** On July 7, 2016, Cayden Campbell watched helplessly as his parents got killed by monsters he only see in movies. On August 7, 2017, he watched his best friend get eaten by a BOSS monster. On September 9, 2018, he found a girl he fell in love with. Xyris was also a player and he swore he will protect her. On October 19, 2020, she used her life as a price to save him from the penalty instance. When he finally came out from the game, she was already dead. On February 26, 2030, he stood at the eightieth floor of the Dark Tower. He and his comrades raided the instance, but the constant fighting has worn them out. Enemies that are defeated come back to life. Blood was spilled until Cayden was the only man left. The enemies did not stop growing and spreading in numbers. Surrounding him, forcing him to surrender. And he lost all hope. Maybe it’s better if he’ll stop fighting and just die. ***** [You have obtained the Legendary item, Drifter’s Clock] [Would you like to give up all your points to rewind the time back to July 7, 2016?] As Cayden take his last breath he uttered, “Yes…” _______________________________________________ If you want to connect with me find me in: Twitter: phoenixhyperion Discord: phoenixhyperion#9130 Instagram: phoenix_hyperion Facebook: phoenixhyperion
