Jane Howard invited Helen Blair to a coffee shop.

Jane arrived first, sitting in a private room, feeling anxious and uneasy, unsure whether it was right to tell Helen about the matter.

Sebastian Carter warned her not to contact Helen, saying she was ambitious and cunning, and might have known about her relationship with Amelia Walker. Jane was unsure about the truth but felt that Helen was sincere towards her since they had been together for eight years. During this time, Jane had sometimes acted like a spoiled child, but overall Helen treated her well and never took advantage of her. Besides, how could Helen possibly know about her relationship with Amelia? It didn't make sense.
