The mission to wave part 1

There were not many times that one could see Hiruzen Sarutobi loose his composure but hearing about the mission report of team 8 of what was supposed to be a simple C rank escort mission turned into an A rank mission involving fighting five jounins and ten chunins of Taki with Naruto assasinating them and then again Naruto encountering five ninja from the new hidden sound village which according to Naruto was being run by Orochimaru which was very bad news for Konoha. Hearing all this he was not sure if he was supposed to be feeling proud of Naruto and his team for completion of the mission flawlessly even though the difficulty of the mission was upgraded or bang his head against a wall thinking about the clusterfuck the mission turned into or be afraid about what Kanna would do to him when she found out that her baby boy faced off against nearly twenty enemy shinobi six of them jounin on a supposedly simple C rank mission, he was terrified that she would skin him alive. But eventually Hiruzen congratulated them on a job well done and dismissed them but not before telling Naruto to head to the Sarutobi compound and inform Kanna on what happened during the mission as she was worried but in reality he wanted to give her some time to cool down before he returned home but if the betrayed expression on Naruto's face was any indication he had already guessed his intentions and knew that he was placing Naruto on the firing range of his mother's anger.

Kanna Sarutobi was not having a pleasant day, she to hold back her anger from beating her son Konohamaru who was being a brat

and had skipped the shinobi academy and she had to hear about it from Iruka his teacher and also had to clean up after her slacker brother in law Asuma, you would think that a grown ass adult would know how to maintain his room, sometimes she wondered if Naruto was the only one who helped her in the house but that was another worry of her as she knew that he was on a C rank mission which was supposed to be simple but knowing her son like she did and his luck she knew that it would escalate and though she was confident in his abilities she couldn't stop worrying over him as she was a mother first. So, when she heard Naruto calling out to her from the entrance hall she immediately rushed and embraced him tightly and after making him eat breakfast after finding out that he had come to her straight from the hokage's office and found about the mission details she badly wanted to break her father in law even though she knew it was irrational when she found out the danger her son was in.

"It's alright mom, I didn't even get a scratch from the fight, honestly the enemies were not that tough", Naruto said hoping to pacify his mom. Kanna knew that Naruto was downplaying the difficulty of the mission in order to not make her worry she just accepted his word and sent him to his room to get some rest.

The next month was spent in the same routine of training and doing 3 D rank missions per day and one C rank mission per week. Naruto had progressed to level 35 pf his resistance seals and Kurenai sensei to level 30, while Hinata and Ino had progressed to level 24 and 23 respectively. Kurenai sensei had taught Hinata and Ino in some Genjutsu and elemental jutsu for Fire for Ino from anko and water for Hinata. About a month and a half after the mission to Taki team 8 were summoned to the Hokage's office by an ANBU.

"Kurenai, Kakashi and his team are stuck in wave country on a C rank mission which rapidly escalated and they have already encountered the Demon brothers of Kiri but have continued on the mission even though the client lied to them, so I am sending you and your team to assist Kakashi's team, you are to leave for wave country immediately", Hiruzen said. Kurenai immediately told her team to pack forba two weeks mission and meet her at the Konoha gate in an hour.
