Threatening intimacy

There were so many times Canillas wanted to trace the features of his enigmatic wife, but there were also so many times he refrained from doing that, as he always told himself that it was not the time yet.

But this time, he felt that it was time to satisfy the minimum desire that had long been suppressed inside him.

Canillas caressed Joanna's cheek, which was sure to be welcomed by another bewildered reaction from her as she shifted her head to uselessly avoid the touch.

He then said, "Because I know that it is impossible not to touch you, my own wife, I didn't agree to that request.
