Wow, everything is just so blurry. Why? I tried to straighten my eyesight but it was unbelievable. Then I saw Jok Kenlin in front of me.
"Welcome back," he said in that low voice. I was in a place, a big red place. My arms and legs were in chains. I was on my knees, not able to move, not able to shake myself out from these… sorrow-filling chains.
God help me.
"Unhand me!" I shouted. He chuckled as if I were lamebrained and ignorant.
"You think I will let a child command me what to do?" he said. He walked closer, striking more fear in me with every step he took. "Now you listen to me, child," he said. "You are certainly a pain in the stomach.
He got his cane and clouted my stomach. I shouted in pain. "AAAH!" I felt dizzy and scared.
"How does that feel, huh?" he asked.
I looked up at him, tears coming out of my burning eyes.
"But that isn't all of it yet," he said. "You were always doing something to ruin my plan.
Like getting a plane and literally bombing our ship! You were even worse than I imagined." He got his cane and he hit my stomach again! I screamed in agony.
I looked up again. "I didn't tell anyone to bomb your ship." He looked at me in disbelief. "But you told someone at least right?" he said.
I had to tell the truth though.
I told Officer Nobody, Chuckle, and all the Emergency Airline people. I was going to tell the queen though. So that she could stop him. But I'm afraid I think Emergency Airlines was being the military for a while.
WHY ME!!!! I was about to go home! Yet I see myself here being beaten up by this villain and not seeing my Mom!
I cried in disconsolateness and in pain. "Yes, cry little boy," he said laughing. Six men came. Yes, thank God! That's actually for once that I wanted those high armored soldiers to come. "Guards, deal with this man."Jok Kenlin smiled and walked out.
Oh no.
They unchained me and-man, I can't even explain. It was the worst two hours of my life.
I was sad, horrified...all broken inside. It was horrible. After they were done, they left...leaving me hurt and broken as if I were about to die. But what do you expect? They work for Jok Kenlin.
But-something good happened that night.
The first thing I saw was two soldiers banging their heads on the wall vigorously. Then a ninja with bear ears coming out of her head.
Phoebe.
"Phoebe!" I shouted weakly. She took off her mask and looked at me. She gasped in horror. "What happened to you!" she cried.
Tears went out of her eyes. "Don't worry," she said. "I'll get you out of here. She picked me up and ran swiftly.
Two guards came out. "What the!" one shouted. The other shouted, "Get her!" Phoebe kicked and punched the guards. Then, the alarm went off.
She ran off trying to see the exit. She kicked and punched. She clouted and back-fired their punches.
Way better than Valentine-not to be rude. "Don't worry, we'll be safe," she said to me.
She looked around and saw a pipe. Now, I thought that pipe held water so she could flood the place. But would it be enough time? Guards were coming! Phoebe got a shuriken and flung it at the pipe.
"Hold your breath!" she demanded. Green gas came out like lions hunting. It filled the room with a nauseating, odious, obnoxious smell. I held my breath so hard, I felt like fainting.
She rushed out of there and the second she got out,
guards came in. "Where is that culprit?" one of them asked.
Then, they fell to the floor, insensate. Phoebe continued bolting. "Are we almost out?" I asked weakly. She moved her head up and
down like a nod. But then, hundreds of high armored soldiers encircled us.
We were surrounded! "Don't move!" one of them shouted. But in his eyes he looked as if-he was being controlled or something. He dropped his rifle.
But then, Jok Kenlin came out. "Hmm, so 'Emergency Airlines' hired a ninja to rescue you."
He tapped his fingers on the cane. "I always knew ninjas were quick and...shifty. And always had something up their sleeves."
He went into his pocket. "But, I also have something up my sleeves."
He shot a pistol and it hit me in the arm. That hurt like FIRE! I fell down hard, like a vigorous blow on the head. He faced the pistol at Phoebe. No! But then…..BOOM!!!
The ship went on fire. "Aaah!" The soldiers screamed.
It was many hours later I'm guessing because then, I woke up and saw myself on a big plane. I was saved!
No.
I was taken on Jok Kenlin's plane, on the back where it was tight.
Hard to breathe. I couldn't even gasp for air. I knew immediately that I had a rag all over my mouth and a tight chain on my neck.
I choked so hard, I bit my tongue trying to take the rag off. When I got it off, the chain loosened a little bit. I cried out in pain and sorrow.
This was just too much—not like for getting a trauma. No. It was just too much to bear. Too much to hold.
And I take the blame on me. I should've just moved on to school. I'm mostly sad because of how my Mom feels. She must be worried. Posters might have been sent out. Pilots might have searched for me with helicopters and amphibious planes; searching in forests and deserts. Going all around the world to find me.
And Phoebe...oh Phoebe. What happened to her? I always try to keep her safe, but she always has to be trapped.
It gives me sorrow and despair and melancholy just to see her in trouble. She saved me, cared for me and all that. And I couldn't do enough. Will I ever make it out alive?
