Awake

"Come here." Hugh said with a cool voice. Lucia placed the things in her hand, on the bed. She moved closer to Hugh and hugged him. She buried her head in his chest, as Hugh embraced her tightly. "She can't get to you. She doesn't know you're here." Hugh said.

His head was close to Lucia's ear. His words soothed her, as they flow into her ears. Lucia recollected herself, "Why didn't I think of that?" Lucia said scornfully to herself and Hugh. He smiled over her head and said, "It happens. It's not bad to be emotional." He said.

"You just have to know how not to lose yourself to your emotions." Hugh comforted her. He patted her back, soothing Lucia. She pulled herself away from Hugh. There were tears glistening in her eyes, but she wouldn't let them fall. Hugh offered her a handkerchief, knowing how she was.
