Blood and system

"Sir, blood rate is currently at red levels!"

"Try to reverse the amount of blood, maybe we can still save him!"

"Sir! His body is still taking more blood! We can't reverse the process, sir!"

"This..."

"Sir! We need your order to abandon the operation!"

"This.... No! Continue the operation and inject more tubes. We can't let the hope of humanity vanish like that!"

"!!!"

"Now!"

"Y-Yes sir! Add more tubes and increase the pressure to maximum!"

"What? Head, that's crazy! Why would you listen to his orders!? He's just an escapee!"

"I don't care! Now turn on the generator and do it!"

"Blood pressure is rising too much, his body can't take it and will explode!"

"Continue!"

"AAAH!!!"

"H-Head... I think... He's waking up!"

"What!? What do you mean he's awa———

[End of recording]

With a click, the speakers stopped.

"Sir this is the last recording from the headquarters in sector 21. We can't find anymore salvageable files that's complete."

The soldier handed over the disk that contained the recordings to a man wearing a black suit.

"Hm. Good job then, even if the videos are destroyed or lost, we can calculate what happened just by hearing this."

The man nodded and slipped the disk in his pockets. He looked at the files on his desk and waved his hands at the soldier.

The soldier saw the gesture and saluted before exiting the room swiftly.

The man sat down and continued to replay the audio recording, not caring how time passed.

He repeat it again and again. 2 hours has passed.

When the audio ended, the man closed his eyes and massaged his temples.

"This is going to get quite complicated."

The man knocked on the table trice and stayed still for a few moments. He stood up and walked to the window and stared outside.

"System. What are the chances that it will be discovered by the authorities?"

When the man muttered the question, the room that he stayed in slightly shook, then a neutral voice played in the audio player he used.

[Replying to user: there are currently 97.6% chance that it will be discovered. If you wish, suggesting user to destroy it.]

When the man heard the chances of being caught, he sighed and shook his head.

"As expected, this just can't be done by normal means. I really don't want to go outside..."

The neutral voice appeared again.

[Suggesting host to change the file that will be given to the authorities.]

When the man heard the suggestion, he furrowed his brows and grabbed his head.

"You really are an idiot when it comes to giving suggestions. Your only pros are calculations and making black coffee great."

[Retorting to user: suggestions are one of the freedom of speech currently in the system terms of service.]

The man's eyes twitched as he replied with a sigh.

"I know, I know... The rules are absolute and cannot be changed nor disobeyed by the user and the system itself... Blah blah blah. So many nonsense things."

[Replying to user: the system has detected a change in the mind world of user and—

"Oh shut up. That's just me playing around."

[Affirmative]

The speakers gave out a distorted static before going silent.

On the second thought, it gave out a couple other sounds in the room before going silent.

The man's eyes twitched again when he heard the other explicit sounds released from the speaker.

"I will definitely not make the system use those sounds again... I regret doing that mission..."

The man sighed. He closed the windows and went back to his desk and chair.

He grabbed the name holder and turned to look at it.

[John Makoto]

"I'm definitely going to change my name. This surname is giving me goosebumps everytime."

The man—John, sighed again before placing it in front of the desk.

"Okay, next plan."

He opened the drawers and took out a small booklet inside.

Closing the drawer, he flipped open the last page.

Find Lucy

Follow the train to the other continent

Changing my name officially, it sucks.

John stayed silent. Grabbing a pen, he wrote down new words and formed a sentence.

Finding garden.

He took a minute of contemplation before closing the booklet and putting it back in the drawer.

He remembered all of the fake records that revolved around him. Patient D13, The doctor, The man that started the plague, and many more.

Only those that mattered and took serious matters knew his past and how he got in the position.

Either the government just hid it very well, or his so called "friendly assistant" system did things that he didn't have the ability to know.

Many memories that didn't belong to him appeared in his mind the moment he accepted the call. Its just that he didn't knew any of them.

He want to believe that it's all fake and a set up that they all have the same name as him, that hair rising name, but the memories just wouldn't come inside without any "magical encounters" like the system does.

Files, patients, subjects, projects, many things that didn't need any explanation just went inside his mind and took place.

As for why, that's for another time. Why? Now don't ask me.

[System alert! A new forming energy source has been detected near user! Suggesting to steal it!]

When John heard the system announcement from the speaker, he suddenly stood straight up.

"What!? Energy source? You mean THAT energy source!?"

The familiar neutral voice replied.

[Yes, no one has currently discovered it. It is an opportunity for user to take!]

"Hmm..."

John thought for a second before asking the system.

"How much time do we have until the sensors of the government detects the rising fluctuations?"

The speaker let out static sounds as if calculating the answer.

[Calculation complete: We have 43 minutes and 39 seconds and counting. On the behalf that this is the mountains and there's many disturbances that can be found in the forest, and the device that they are using is not new and improved.]

"Huh. Alright, let me think."

John massaged his temples and thought of the government.

Although they're not much of a threat to him right now, they might be in the future. He needed power more than anything else in his plans. One person will definitely not defeat a population with weak strength.

He also have the system to assist him in times of need. Except with suggestions, the system is really nice a companion.

As for the threat of other parties when he travels there, they're not posing much of a threat with his current abilities.

Although they're not much of a threat for the current him, he still want to check with the system. Using everything in his arsenal might be his first choice.

"System, use a power gauging item for the tribes that can threaten me and then calculate the chances that I'll successfully retrieve the power source."

[System reminder: when using a power gauging item, it will only sense the powers that surround the capabilities of the item. It will directly find the strongest the target and gauge its strength. Any power higher than the capabilities of the item will be directly ignored.

Do you wish to continue and use an item?]

John, of course knew the consequences if the item didn't sense a power multiple more than him.

He could only risk it and wish that there's no powerhouse hiding in the mountains that can't be detected by the current system.

"Yes, use the items according to my current power level."

[Affirmative: System will use 100 items]

John, seeing the system use 100 items, winced from the loss. Although those that did not find a person that can threaten him, the items that will be returned will be halfed.

For example: the system used 10 power gauging items for randomly finding a person with the power level that the user want to find (given that it's not outside of the item's capabilities), and found two, the 8 items that didn't find a person (too weak or just too strong for the item) will return to the user twice less the amount giving the user 4 as a return.

Although it damages his item returns by half, it is currently suitable for the situation he's in. Assuming that many hidden enemies are scattered inside the mountains.

After confirming the order, multiple cuboids appeared inside his mind as if imagination. The cuboids kept appearing until it reached a hundred—the amount he used this time.

The still cuboids shook and disappeared from his mind.

Opening his eyes, he saw the few cuboids that haven't yet left his room go outside through the window.

In just a split second, the items that looked like cubes disappeared and searched for their targets.

-End of Prologue-

Currently my first work in the platform!

There's no schedule for this work as I'm just writing this for fun!

It's like a tunnel for my overactive imagination, just limited so I can not mess with the plot.

There will be tons of plot holes that will be encountered, but I will try to fix them as soon as possible!

Criticism is very well accepted! Thank you for reading the first chapter!
