C27: The Woodland Rats

The leader of the rat alliance hopped along the stairs and finally surpassed the two warriors chasing him down. 'Ha… Finally, I outran them.' He thought inwardly as he panted. The swarm of rats with crimson eyes ran towards the two warriors, but considering how they've chased him down so far and cleared all the rats on their way – they might just have a chance to take him down.

He closed his eyes and hurried along. "Dad… little Benny's almost there, be proud. And… don't be mad, Dad. Morbius is here with us, avenging your death. You never approved of our relationship because our bloodline wouldn't descend down to children… but – Dad, he's here," the rat said, smiling at the other animagi before him.

Morbius had taken the potion too, but his senses hadn't been lost. He was powerful enough to withstand the potion's effects and take its energy to the fullest.

The two rats were standing at the entrance to the secret passage, smirking. There was an army of rats behind them, and before them.

Morbius looked into Benny's eyes and smiled. "Hubby… your daddy will be proud. At least this daddy is proud of you ~" Benny kissed him before Morbius finished the sentence and their long snouts touched each other as their whiskers tangled.

It was evening news time for Melloni. It hadn't been ten minutes since she had her nice evening shower. She walked toward the couch with a cup of ice cream in her hand and sat down. She switched on the TV and took a spoonful of the sweet Blueberry River Run ice cream and it just soothed her.

"Mmmm ~" she opened her eyes, only to see a horrifying live news broadcast from the KDD.

'What – they aren't playing Crimsons today? Darn!'

Apparently, there was some bulshit live broadcast running on TV right when her favorite adult family sitcom was running. However, this particular news was set on Downwood, which instantly dragged her attention in as she took another spoonful of creamy ice cream from her mouth.

"...what is happening throughout the city in this wild rain – no one knows for sure yet! But as the reporters had found out from the Downwood Guard, it's about these mutated rats scurrying across the town's sewage system! As we heard, Jim, these mutations had happened to the Woodland Rats, a rogue alliance that is well known across Downwood. Whatever it is, the damage done to these people's daily life is the most disturbing cause of this situation! Since the drainage systems are damaged, the underground cables have also been damaged greatly, and we need the builder bears as soon as this conflict ends to help these innocent people…

The report switched back to Jef and Jim on the main table from the screen of the reporter Katie, coming live from Downwood.

Melloni dropped her spoon right onto the ice cream on her cup and the blueberry ice cream splashed on her face. She licked them off.

Meanwhile, Claire had no idea that this was going on in Downwood. She simply sat in her room – wondering why Jamie went offline suddenly, without even saying goodbye.

She was still staring at her phone, waiting for his reply.

Melloni pushed her glasses back and gulped down another spoon.

"Jef, what are you thi –"

"ARGHH!" a scream came from the scene they were shooting live on Downwood, which was focused on the side of the TV screen. Melloni narrowed her gaze.

"Holy fuck!" Katie the reporter cried out. "Fucking Rats!! Eating people!" she pushed off the camera and started to run. "Fucking go, Lori! What the fuck are you still taping – the rats are fucking eating children!"

She pushed down the cameraman as she ran past him.

"To the chopper you motherfuckers! We're out of this fuckhole!" the lady reporter's scream was heard right before the scene was blinded by the KDD before Katie's public image was even more destroyed.

At the Sewer Juice.

"Aghh ~ aghh ~" the screams were continuous. They started 15 minutes ago, and after a 5-minute break, the two were at it again.

Sophia sighed.

The electricity was out, the rain was so heavy they couldn't even step out onto the road. Pattermont and Hendrick were almost at their peak because they drank too much of the green stuff which was a 'Sewer Juice' exclusive. They were only seconds away from falling to the ground, unconscious.

"Hey, junior! By the way… I heard that you didn't take off your helmet in front of the men in the changing room even. What you say? How about we see that beautiful face you're too shy to show off –" Hendrick said, pouring a glass of green shit beer into a mug for Sophia.

"Huh? You're drunk guys, so –" suddenly, Pattermont tugged an arm over her shoulder and shoved her whole body towards him. He was slowly taking his pants off as he did so.

"What the fuck – get off me motherfuckers!" Sophia yelled as she pushed his arm away, making him fall off his chair.

Pattermont fell face-first on the floor. As Hendrick saw this, he got pissed. "Goldick! What the hell did you just call your seniors!? Who the hell do you think you are?" he snapped.

Sophia backed off from her position, and right at this moment… They heard some rustling sounds coming from the back of the pub. Everyone who was sitting there at the pub got their attention taken away by this sound and the sound of a popping lid came!

"Holy shit – The rats! They are breaking through!" Goldick cried out, gazing around her. The whores and the innkeeper were troubled by this too. They started running around and one of the whores opened a door and yelled: "This way!"

But – she was goners. The streets were already swarming with rats and she just directed all those bloodthirsty rats to her. "Oh fuck –" a rat jumped onto her and ripped out the frog whore's head.

All the women started to scream even louder.

Sophia gazed around to see a place to escape the situation, and the only place she could think of with a tightly shut door was the bathroom right now. She unsheathed her sword and ran towards the bathroom where Lin was banging his new girlfriend.

She opened the door and about 5 whores got in, while the others were running around like mindless fuckers. She didn't have any choice but to close the door – but:

"Wait! Goldick! Don't close the door – wait for us you selfish bitch!" Pattermont cried out as Hendrick and the man rushed towards the door. But, Goldick didn't feel right when she saw a fucking loser with his dick out rushing towards her.

"Goodbye – senior." She closed the door.
