Neera had woken up five seconds ago and her vision was not yet accustomed to the dark in the room. Although there was alot of noise from outside the door of the room.
She was in the middle of the room with little light above her, light that didn't reach the vastness of the room.
A sneeze came from the corner of the room. She slowly twisted her body to face him or her.
It was a girly sneeze so it was a girl. Her eyes squinted to see her and she did. The girls eyes glinted under the little light.
"Hello" she whispered although it echoed in the room. "I wanted to wake you earlier but I didn't know if you were one of them, so I hesitated"
Neera's brows narrowed downwards in mere confusion as she crawled on the floor to reach the girl at the corner.
"One of who?" she sat some distance from the girl.
"Them" she paused almost raising her hands to illustrate with her hands but then she paused a wave of emotion crossing her face
Almost as if she was ashamed to show her hands and Neera almost asked but she didn't. She had no clue who the girl was so she didn't have any right to ask.
"You know, black eyes, fangs and claws for fingernails" she explained looking at the light bulb above them.
Neera's widened but not in surprise for the eyes description but for the rest of her statement.
Fang's?
Claws for fingernails?
She had seen black eyes but the rest was simply news to her.
"No am not one of them, am a human" she reassured. Her gaze then drifted to have a look at the girls clothing which was almost as weird as the way she'd even styled her hair.
"What are you wearing?" Neera was the one to ask.
"What's your name before that?"
"I'm Delia Avyanna Neera of Arcadia" she introduced looking up but then finally looked at her. She gaped at her as if she'd just said the most ridiculous nonsense ever.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Why did you introduce yourself like that?"
"Because that's how we princess's introduce ourselves, what of you, what's your name?"
She scoffed a laugh, "Haelyn Fowler of," she laughed a little, "I guess...Las Vegas but am British"
It was Neera's turn to gape and chuckle, "Las vegas? What kingdom is that?"
In her mind there was no Kingdom as Las Vegas as she had claimed. Was the girl actually being serious or messing with her?
"It's not a kingdom it's in a country in a continent, do you have a victorian era fetish or something?" Haelyn leaned lower to have a closer inspection of her corsetted shirt.
"Do you?"
"No and I don't even know what Kingdom that is, which part of the world is it in?"
"The US in North America" she replied blankly impressed by the shirt.
"Never heard of it" Neera replied blankly also observing the clothes Haelyn wore. She wore blue pants, pants like the ones mem wore but different, the texture was far more rougher than those of the men.
And a shirt that reached just above her belly. If she ever wore that, Neera was almost sure that her father would take her to the royal high priest for prayers.
In Acardia that was an impropriet form of clothing.
"I've also never heard of Acardia but I'm wearing jeans and a crop top"
"Never heard of those either, how did you get here?"
"I actually don't know how I got here either, I just remember entering a cab and heading home, I was drunk"
"Oh, well I I met a corp-" she rethought her words since there was no way she was going to say that she met a corpse like that was just an ordinary thing which it wasn't.
"I met a person who brought me here and then I was pursued by 'one of them' while running from them but they were way more faster than I was then I collapsed and here we are" Neera explained.
"Brought you here willingly?"
"No"
Silence fell in the room as Neera contemplated on her next question. "Who is Rico?" she asked breaking the silence.
Haelyn stiffened after the mention of Rico. She'd suffered enough in the hands of Rico and the mention of his name by a complete stranger who was here and had no idea what she was in for her wasn't a relieve, not in the least.
"Well, first of all he's 'one of them' and he's the not very nice or good or attractive or any positive trait there has ever been" her words were laced with venom even her face didn't look so pleasant.
Neera looked at Haelyn warily. She finally looked at the hands that she'd been trying to hide earlier and finally understood why she felt guilty which she shouldn't be.
A name was imprinted on the lower of her wrist then a flame burn on the upper side of her wrist
The name wasn't completely visible but Neera already guessed it was Rico.
"I've never found a way out of here, I hope you're my light at the end of the tunnel since here we go" Haelyn said standing upright and fixing her clothing.
"What? Who?" Neera confusedly asked standing up too but then the locks of the door opened and the door flew open revealing blinding light then someone walked in.
A chill skated up Neera's spine.
"You know the drill, Let's go"
They both couldn't see his face but Neera saw Haelyn frown deeply.
