She'd rather take up an athletic profession and walk around the city in search of Buddy's owner than embark on a quest with him — one which she feared was going to end up with her reining in the murderous desire of making a bloody work of his head. But as much as she repulsed being with Alex right now, she wasn't really stupid enough to consider all these options.
