Some say marriage is the tomb of love. I don't care if it is the castle of love if there was no love to begin with—Ye Yuwei.

The sun was shining over B City in the evening.

The waiter had refilled Ye Yuwei's coffee several times. Yet, the person she was expecting did not show up.

No one in the coffee shop said a word as they focused on the man on the television.

Gu Juexi. He was not a renowned scientist, but played a decisive role in the field of science. He is the most unrestrained of B City, but no one would call him a. He looked like he was derelict in his duties as a CEO, but had pushed his enterprise to a peak that it has never reached before.

His arm was gently held by a woman. The news on TV was about him and a famous movie star getting caught by the paparazzi at a hotel.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Gu… Mr. Gu is in the middle of something…" said Mr. Gu's personal assistant, just as the wind chime hanging at the door of the coffee shop sounded.

Ye Yuwei looked up and saw the personal assistant looking awkward. She could hear the news on the TV speculating if the CEO of Gu Enterprise and the hotshot actress Yu Sha'er were dating and whether they were tying the knot. Looked like this was the "something" Mr. Gu was in the middle of.

Feeling even more awkward, the personal assistant lowered his head. The truth was, Mr. Gu never did plan to come. It had always been this way.

"Please have a seat, PA Wen." Putting her emotions aside, Ye Yuwei smiled.

Ye Yuwei was really not one of the best-looking. It was fair to say she was the least beautiful amongst the rumored girlfriends Gu Juexi had.

The only thing Ye Yuwei had that other girls did not have was probably her eyes, which was the only reason why Gu Juexi agreed when his mother asked him to marry her.

The personal assistant smiled awkwardly and took the seat opposite Ye Yuwei.

"Is there anything else I can help you with, Mrs. Gu? Mr. Gu has another appointment in the afternoon with…"

"It's okay PA Wen. I don't need to know his schedules anymore." Ye Yuwei interrupted, looking down to hide the emotions in her eyes. 

She shouldn't have hoped the moment she learned the truth.

PA Wen was surprised. Ye Yuwei used to always ask for Mr. Gu's schedules. He couldn't remember when Mrs. Gu seemed to have lost interest in everything about Mr. Gu.

This made PA Wen concerned.

Ye Yuwei drew out some documents from her handbag and put it in front of PA Wen.

I read a few chapters of this and here's my honest opinion again it's just as trashy as last week's winning romance novel These husbands just get more and more abusive, both emotionally and physically. If you like Stockholm syndrome FL with "Genius" ML who thinks r@ping FL is okay then this novel is for you. Well atleast in this novel the FL considers calling the cops on the abusive ML which I guess is a huge step forward in C Novel who know maybe in another 10 years the ML might actually have to go to court for the abuse

It's a bull**** story with rape and abuse. There's a third party and the douchebag ML always believed that third party no matter what. And then when MC's finally woken up from fantasies and is trying to let go, that douchebag ML is now trying to take chain her to him. THIS IS A FUCKING WRONG KIND OF ROMANCE. I read all the chapter up to chapter 51 or so. I admit the ML irritates me and FL kinda frustrates me and makes me laugh at the same time. From a logical perspective, without any emotion, I can see why the ML does what he does. From an emotional point, I think the ML needs to get into a terrible accident where he ends up incapacitated after they deal with the guy and the FL needs to be hidden by the SML to live her life. They'll meet years later and he'll have changed for the better while she'll still be as sarcastic and scathing as before. Him being the submissive party? THAT'S something I want to see.

I'm basically trolling at this point but the ML is such an ass and a douchebag that I can't bring myself to say a single nice word about him. He is that much of an ass. And please let them have that divorce or else I'm really gonna give up any hopes in this novel. Well, they might never have that divorce considering the "children" they will have. *sighs* IDK what it is with women liking brute men like all they'll do is abuse you in all aspects; physically, mentally, emotionally, etc.

To those who are still suffering through the first 150 chapters, trust me it gets better. This is not a typical romance, it's quite mature and I have to say quite realistic in depicting how bumpy a marriage could be when the couple can't communicate well with each other. Give it a chance, I personally think this is one of the best novels in here. And no, I don't condone abusive ML. I always steer away from that kind of trashy romance, but I guarantee you that this one isn't like that at all, even though I know that you would hate the ML's guts in the beginning. There's much more to the plot than just common misunderstandings typically found on Chinese romance novels...

I hope Ye Yuwei escapes from the clutches of Gu Juexi and disappears from his sight for 6 years with no trace of locating her at all. Her husband doesn't appreciate her and constantly subjected her to emotional, mental and physical torture. What kind of a husband does that to a wife? I rooting for YY to end up with Mr. Lu. That man is a true gentleman and is appreciative of YY's beauty. Lastly, I hope the author can accommodate the request of multiple releases of chapters. Thank you.

He always humiliates her, drives her to the point of no return where she can't even live a normal life. Her character is so pitiful because she always gets humiliated by anyone and everywhere she goes, she's the laughingstock. Her life is a mess, no one to trust other than her friend, scars and bruises physically, emotionally and mentally and trauma is prevalent in her so much so that she can't trust another person wholeheartedly. She's been slapped, pushed in front of a moving car, bruised by paparazzi, pushed hardly onto the wall that she can't feel her back anymore, wrists having bruises from the ML and so MUCH more that I can't even write them because of my frustration. This is a ****tard of an author and an even ****tier novel. Who gives you the right to hurt her and rape her while calling it her obligation? Who gives you the fucking right to try to manipulate her by driving her over the edge of no return? Who gives you the right to try to stop her from doing what she wants and being with the person she wants to be with (her friend & not a third party)? Who gives you the FUCKING right to blame everything wrong you did on anyone else other than yourself when it was your FUCKING self who made all the decisions? WHO GIVES YOU THE FUCKING RIGHT TO JAIL HER IN YOUR HELL HOUSE JUST BECAUSE YOU FUCKING WANT TO KEEP HER UNDER CONTROL?? YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!!!!!!

I feel hurt for the FL and the ML is bad.... Maybe there will be a 2nd ML??? The sufferings of FL will make her a better version of herself. The ML will surely regret. Besides who needs a bad guy for a husband if you have your lovable kid.. Its not bad that the FL tried to keep up with her husband. Atleast she tried and will not regret for not doing anything.
