Chapter 15

Strapped in her special wheelchair, Reina pushed Giselle out of her room and to the outside world. When the sunlight hit her face and she smelled the sweet scents of the flowers, Giselle felt like she was alive again. She saw the apparition of her younger self running around and happily playing in the garden without a care while her parents watched her with loving eyes.

This was the last happy image she had of her parents before the accident. Giselle looked at the memory with a sad smile and longing eyes filled with tears. Reina looked at her with a smile as the latter finally come to term with reality. They spend the time together in the garden as Giselle reminisce about her childhood while Reina listens to her fond memories.

Zelkowicz Corporation

A beautiful young lady dressed glamorously in a limited-edition dress and had on exquisite make-up walked confidently to the reception and demanded to be taken to the CEO. She has the pride and arrogance of a high class lady emitting from every each of her body.

The receptionist tried to tell her that without appointment she can't meet Mr Zelkowicz. The lady laughed.

"I don't need an appointment to see him"She declared arrogantly before turning to make her way upstairs, ignoring the receptionist efforts to stop her. Just then, one of Harry's assistants saw them and told the receptionist to back off while he personally leads the lady away.

Harry was engrossed in work when someone barged into his office.

"Hello my darling. I've finally landed. Did you miss me".She declared happily with her grand entrance. Harry frowned at the disturbance.

He raised his head to look at her with disinterest, frowned and asked,"Who allowed you to come here?"he asked coldly.

"Sir, it's me. l was downstairs when I saw Miss Soraya so l accompany her". the assistant meekly answered.

"You're fired. Get out". he spoke. They assistant wanted to beg but didn't dare seeing his cold face and can only leave in regret.

"You don't have to be that mean. You just figuratively slapped me in the face. After all I'm still your friend" Soraya whined pitifully. Ignoring her act, Harry asked,"Why are you here?.If you have nothing to say just leave?"

Dropping the act, Soraya walked towards him and complained,"Why are you still so cold as ice. I've been away for such a long time and instead of being happy to see me, you're still the same iceberg".

She's the goddaughter of Harry's parents and spend most of her childhood days in the Lake house with Harry and his family. They can be said to be childhood sweetheart. He was her first and only love and had always dreamt of being his wife in the future but then the accident happened and everything became a mess.

He was betrothed to Sasha and ended up marrying her. She was so heartbroken that she left to study abroad. However, she has never given up on him knowing that he doesn't love Sasha. This time, she has returned with the determination to have him all to herself.

"I'm not leaving. I'll go back to Zelkowicz mansion with you" She spoke as she made her way to the couch. She laid directly on it, positioning herself into a seductive pose. With a flirtatious smile, Soraya looked at him with an adoring gaze but he continued to ignore her presence as if she wasn't there. Other than Reina, he has never been moved by another woman.

That night, Reina stood outside as she anxiously waited for Harry to return. Her eyes light up with joy when she spotted him getting out of the car. She was about to call out to him when she saw a beautiful lady rushing behind Harry crying for him to wait for her. She caught up with him and hugged his arm tightly, snuggling close to him. Harry glared at Soraya but she smiled at him without shame, refusing to let go.

Seeing the interaction between them, Reina felt her heart dropped as tears involuntarily welled up in her eyes. Soraya saw her and asked, "Who's that?". Harry turned to find Reina staring at them with a pained expression.

She turned and run off. He quickly and aggressively shook of Soraya's hand and took off after Reina leaving behind a confused Soraya. Reina stood by the pond crying silently. She knows that she's only a hired surrogate and has no right to be jealous if he has other women.

They don't have any relationship and whatever happened between them was only her wishful thinking but she just can't accept it. She loves him so much that it hurts to see him with someone else. Reina looked up at the stars in the sky and took in deep breaths to relief her heavy heart.

Harry arrived at the bridge too. He took of his coat and wrapped it around her body. He hugged her from behind as he buries his face in her neck, smelling her sweet scents.

"I'm sorry. It's not what you think".he whispered to her ear. Reina laughed derisively and pushed him away from her.

"Sir doesn't need to explain himself to someone like me. I'm only a hired surrogate for your future child".She said coldly. When Harry saw her being so distant towards him, he panicked.

"Reina please listen to me. She's a nobody. I'm not lying to you. You're the one l want",he explained, his eyes filled with anxiety.

"Sir jokes. We have no relationship between us and owes me no explanation. If Sir has nothing to say I'll take my leave"She refused to listen to him and turned to leave. Desperate, Harry shouted, "I love you so much. Do you know how much I love you and how happy I am to be with you. You're the only woman l love".

Reina stood rooted to the ground in shock. Her eyes widen as her heartbeat increased. Did she right. He loves her too.

"You love me too right?" Harry asked. With tears in her eyes, Reina nodded happily."Yes I love you too. l love you so much".She declared. Harry pulled her into his embrace as they hugged and kissed each other passionately.
