THE JOYOUS REUNION

Anne heard the doorbell chimed, she went to check only to see Richmond at the door, she quickly opened the door. She was so happy that she threw her hands around Richmond in the hallways before pulling him inside the apartment.

As Anne's arms wrapped around Richmond, she felt a flood of emotions swirling within her. Relief, joy, and a lingering sense of guilt mingled together, making her heart race. Richmond's familiar scent enveloped her as she took a sniff of it.

"I have missed you," Anne whispered, her voice barely above a breath as she held onto him tightly.

Richmond's response was a soft murmur, his words muffled against her hair. "I have missed you also."

"I am sorry," Anne said, her voice trembling with sincerity. "I shouldn't have shouted at you. I was angry and disappointed, but I see now that you were just afraid. I shouldn't have said those awful words to you."
