THE END FOR US ALL
Undeterred, Jackson shifted his gaze to Noah, the patriarch of the household, and implored for assistance. "Sir, please help me beg your son. I have two children to feed, and a babe is on the way. I have no other means of survival."
Noah, caught in the crossfire, directed his plea to Richmond. "Just forgive him and give him back the job."
Richmond, however, seemed distracted, his attention drawn to an unfamiliar man on the couch.
He trailed his eyes on the man, the man looked lost like he didn't know what he was doing in the mansion. Richmond's mind began thinking of a plan, a plan to break Jackson's self-titled pride.
Thomas felt scrutinized under Richmond's gaze as Richmond stared at him openly without breaking contact.
Breaking the tension, he inquired, "What is your name?"
Thomas Hamsel, from the neighboring Brown territory, identified himself, sparking a recognition in Richmond.
