Training With Kids (2)

Vivian and Torr were sitting down on the floor and between them was the metal slab used for training Magic Arts.

Gaze was sitting beside Torr, while Felize was resting on the bed.

"Are you ready?" asked Vivian.

"Yes, Priestess Vivian!" he replied with a look of determination on his face.

Vivian raised her hand and aimed at Torr's palm.

[Fire Arrow].

Woooh!

Sss…

"Argh!" Torr groaned under gritted his teeth as an arrow made out of flames shot through his palm, leaving a hole and burning its flesh before disappearing when it hit the metal slab.

Gaze tried to help Torr.

"I'm fine…! I can handle this…!" he said with gritted teeth.

Vivian's face was calm, but in her head she couldn't help but remember how Torr remained frozen the entire time when they fought.

I guess he grew a little bit, huh…?

"I'm gonna cast another [Fire Arrow]."

Torr stretched out his hand.

[Fire Arrow].

Woooh!

Sss…

"Arrrgggh!"

This time around, a hole appeared on his wrist.

Gaze hesitated for a moment but in the end, decided to honor Torr's wishes.

"Another one," Vivian said calmly.

Torr stretched out his hand once again. His arm shook, beads of sweat appeared on his face and he gritted his teeth so tightl that Vivian and the rest could hear his teeth gnashing together.

She turned to Gaze.

"Give him something to bite on. It would be a miracle if he had any teeth and jaw left by the end."

Gaze pulled out a piece of cloth from his pocket and gave it Torr.

"Put that between your teeth and bite that," said Vivian.

Due to Torr's injured arm, Gaze took back the cloth and rolled it before giving it back to him.

"Okay, let's continue. One more [Fire Arrow] and then I'll heal you."

[Fire Arrow].

"Arrrggghhh!"

A hole appeared on his forearm.

Some time later…

The rays of the sun slipped through the windows, indicating that it was already morning.

[Heal].

A faint yellow light enveloped Torr's body.

His face was pale, his cheeks slightly sunken, he had dark eyebags, he was covered in sweat and he was being supported by Gaze and Felize.

Unfortunately, he hasn't opened his [Fire Mastery].

Vivian glanced at the windows before returning her gaze to the kids.

"We will continue this later tonight," she said and then got up. "We will also meet up later at the guild this afternoon, same time."

"Yes, Priestess. And thank you," both Gaze and Felize said and bowed.

"T-Thank you… Priestess…" Torr said weakly. He also tried to bow but only managed to move his head a little bit.

Vivian nodded before turning around to pick up her things and head for the door.

She turned around.

"Don't forget, the checkout time is still the same. I will also order some breakfast for you."

"Thank you, Priestess, but we promised our family that we would have breakfast with them," said Felize.

"I see. Well, I have to go now. I'll see you all later."

Vivian opened the door and left.

Vivian was walking down the street as fast as she could and was headed back to the compound where the members of the Temple of Priests lived.

And of course, she took another street because she didn't want to pass by that shop she attacked yesterday.

Even she at the very least was aware that she was at fault no matter how much mental gymnastics she applied to it.

Even after not sleeping the whole night I still feel very fresh…'

Once I get back to the compound, I'll take a bath, wash clothes and then head back to the Adventurer's Guild to do some quests…

Nevertheless, there were still a number of people and many of them turned to look at her.

Right now, Vivian had her hair tied into a ponytail. She was wearing her gold necklace and Copper I Rank pendant around her neck, her Earring of Spirit on her right ear, leather armor with a black fitting long-sleeved shirt underneath, black fitting pants, and her worn-out leather boots with metal plates covering the tips. And as for her weapon, she had her poleaxe on her hand which she used like a walking stick and her kitchen knife hidden inside her left boot.

As for her brown cloak, she wasn't wearing it because she washed it.

Vivian noticed that Pana was busy talking to an adventurer and there was also a line on her counter.

She turned away and headed straight to the Quest Board.

There were 5 people in front of the board and reading the quests.

When she got there, she immediately looked for the Bukaroo quest.

Oh, the Treebark quest is still available…

Tusha Herbs? No, I don't want that one…

She pulled out the Quest Paper for the Bukaroo quest.

Hmm… Let's see what are the other quests…
