It took two and a half hours to come back home. A half hour extra but this time none of them were irritated. They were tired, just physically but mentally as well.
"I'm going straight to bed." Lucy yawned, looking inside Apartment behind her. "If I wake up in the night, I will eat something. Other than that, I am banking on breakfast. Good night."
"Cool. Bye." Leah could not wait to get in the bed either. With half closed eyes, she worked in her bedroom. The prospect of being in her bed and staying there until the next morning was very exciting.
"Where were you?"
Leah froze. She was still facing the door that she had been closing, but the feeling of him looking at her back was there.
"Aiden?" She turned around. "I thought you were going to take the entire day. When did you come back?"
His eyes were dead. Emotionless there from day one when she met him.
