5 Chapter 4: Awakened At Last

The room was quiet as the seven from earlier focused on their own things. Whilst they were all doing separate things and minding their own business, they all had a worried look on their faces and the same thought on their minds. "Is he gonna be alright..?" they all thought while not being able to focus on what they were doing. Still the room was in silence, as they didn't know what to say to each other, that is until Jack spoke.

"We need to do something... We can't let that boy go through what we have!" as Jack spoke, everyone looked at him as they agreed in their minds as their hearts pounded in their chests, knowing that if they retaliate, even if they save Lucifer it would still mean they would be going through much worse. While everyone sat around, too scared to agree one of them spoke. "L-Lets do it then... We can't sit around and take it anymore-!" said Leon, nervous but still unwilling to give up or let someone else get hurt with spirit in his voice. The others all look at each other before looking at Jack and nodding, agreeing to finally retaliate.

At the same time, Lucifer is being filled with horror inside as he worries that Asmodeus might have done something to him. Possibly something that could kill him as he felt different inside. But even then he didn't feel as if he was in pain or danger for some reason. But as human instinct of overthinking about what they don't know, he became increasingly worried as the time passed wanting confirmation that he was alright. "Don't worry Lucifer, you have just been infected with the virus is all. It will allow you to be able to use your very own imperium from now on. And with that we will try to control what imperium you get" Asmodeus told Lucifer with confidence and as if nothing wrong is going on while Lucifer is worried about what they're about to do to him, though he was a bit relieved to hear that it wasn't anything too bad. "And how do you plan on controlling that huh!? I thought everyone gets an imperium that suits them!" Lucifer replied to his remarks with annoyance in his voice, cursing Asmodeus in his head as he spoke. "Now now, no need to be so foul mouthed. And don't worry we will handle that on our own" Asmodeus said with a smile on his face, seemingly sure of what he was saying as if he has done all this before.

The seven of them get ready to make a move, checking where the soldiers are and if the door out of the room was locked. "When should we start then?" Alex asked, cautiously looking all around him and at the cameras around the room, trying not to be noticed of suspicious activity. They all were still acting as if they were doing their own things, trying to seem as normal as always. "Let's wait for now... When a disruption occurs lets start.." Jack replied, looking at the door whilst thinking of how they are going to go about their plan as he awaited the perfect moment. "Do you think Lucifer would be okay by now...? Normally by the time this much time passes by they already would have lost their mind from the trauma..." Layla pointed out, clearly worried about Lucifer while looking at a book as the room stood still in the moment of silence afterwards, realizing they can't waste too much time.

"So Lucifer, can you feel a tingly feeling inside? Do you feel something build up inside you!?" Asmodeus asked in amusement and curiosity whilst stabbing Lucifer's legs with knives. He had started torturing Lucifer again after he told him not to worry. Lucifer now in complete utter pain once more could not do anything but flail around and scream in agony. Blood dripping down his legs to the floor, he had cut Lucifer all over his legs and waist as well. In Asmodeus's eyes, certain forms of torture could allow him to control the imperium someone could get. And to test his theory he had used different people, torturing and and mentally breaking them. He did anything and everything for his research which has led him to this point which is the very last step of his research. While Lucifer was being tortured though, he started having a vision within his mind.

"Do you want power?" a voice asked Lucifer in his mind. Confused of what was going on he started to question if he had finally lost it and had gone insane. But realizing that he had nothing to lose, he decided to answer the voice. Even if it was just a voice in his head he thought it would be able to keep him enough company in the last minutes of his life. So he answered, "yes I do...". To which heard no response but instead the excruciating pain he felt earlier faded away in the blink of an eye. Lucifer confused tried to make sense of it, saying that it was probably him finally passing on. he smiled as he thought he was going to die, thanking the voice before closing his eyes and preparing himself for what comes next. That is, right before he heard it again. "Would you like to choose your imperium? If so what would you like it to be?" the voice asked Lucifer, calm and monotone. At first a bit shocked by the sudden question, he didn't think much of it before answering, thinking it was just a dream that was about to end as he died. "I want an imperium... As long as its something that can... Save me from this..." Lucifer spoke as he felt the things around him less and less till he couldn't feel anything at all. He looked around, realizing that nothing was around him. Lucifer thought to himself as he kept drifting off. "I guess my life.. ends like this..." He thought right before he heard the voice again. "Answered confirmed! You will now be granted your imperium!" the voice spoke as everything around Lucifer finally went back to normal.

The pain suddenly rushes back in his body as he starts screaming in agony once more, realizing he is awake and no dead yet he wonders what the dream he just had was but his thoughts get flooded in seconds by the painful torture he was being put through. As he screams in pain Asmodeus keeps slashing Lucifer's skin, that is till it starts to happen. As Asmodeus slashed him, Lucifer started to notice that he felt different. That the pain was slowly disappearing as if it was never even there. Slowly but surely the pain started to ease bit by bit till it completely vanished.

As Asmodeus looked at Lucifer he started to notice that Lucifer had finally done it. He had gained his own imperium. Forcing him into a situation though, Lucifer's imperium was a regenerative one as according to Asmodeus's research, proving it all to be correct. But little did Asmodeus know at the time, it was a bit too accurate that one faithful time...
