The "Captain": Modern Ships Isekai to Azur Lane Fanfiction

Stood on the endless and depthless sea were warships.

These behemoths of the seas were floating as their 'feet' touches the glistening, smooth sea with few islands riddling their surroundings. Within the center of the vast 'glass' was the aircraft carrier of the 'Eagle Union', 'Enterprise' along with its wielder stood upon its deck – Adorn with a long, black navy coat with a sleeveless admiral uniform underneath, Enterprise let the wind whistle past through the gaps between the strands of her platinum crown which were long as it reaches to her thin waist. Enterprise's violet eyes look far towards the horizon as she scans for potential hiding spots for enemies…only to find none before a sigh slips through her lips as she closes her eyes.

"Hm? –" Standing beside her was a dainty woman who adorns herself with a black-and-white nurse outfit with pinkish pigments painted within – with a single braid from her platinum-violet hair, Vestal's chrysocolla eyes glanced at Enterprise and ask with worry after she turns her head towards 'The Grey Ghost' " –Is something wrong, Enterprise?"

"...–" Enterprise turns her head towards the nurse with her repair ships floating beside the aircraft carrier with a neutral expression " –No, I'm just relieved that there are no enemies nearby, that's all"

"Is that so? Also, how have you been these days?" Vestals ask with a smile

"...I'm doing fine" A neutral answer was all Vestal received

"Are you sure you ate fully…also, you're a horrible liar.

"!" Enterprise pulls her hat down to hide her face as she turns towards the horizon.

"Mo! You must take care of yourself more seriously!" Eyebrows have their ends drawn to each other as Vestal's eyes have ignited a small fire as she glared at the archer.

"Radar caught something, ahead at 12 o'clock!" one of the destroyers leading the front shouted to the group.

The group consisted of two destroyers, two heavy cruisers, one battleship, one axillary ship, and one aircraft carrier – the battleship has its long, sapphire hair master who adorns in a blue-and-white admiral coat while wearing a charcoal, sleeveless skin-tight suit underneath a white dress; the first destroyer has its, blonded crown fashioned into twintails, master who adorns in a blue-and-white, sleeveless dress while the second destroyer has a master that has her long palish crown which also fashioned into twintails yet with crimson eyes and adorns in dress and a loosen jacket; the master of the heavy cruiser that sailing by the right of the carrier has a golden eyes master who styles her hair into a brown bob-cut while wearing a skin-tight dress with a navy-blue and green pattern and the master of the second heavy cruiser which is on the left of the aircraft carrier was a female with a pink, along with a hint of blue strands hidden within the bushes of pink, pigtails who have decorated herself with a navy-blue-and-white jacket while casual, and exposed, clothing was underneath as a she flips her visor down to coer her eyes.

–And most of them jump from the ships' deck towards the depth.

It was a cube before him.

Envelope in blankets of shadow was a man. With an athletic body that its muscles wrapped under his fair skin were hard as if it was replaced with steel, the man was standing with his feet rooted to the charcoal floor as he was adorned in the charcoal suit that is designed for the high-rank of the 'United States Navy' – Adorn in an obsidian coat with various medals latched onto one side of his chest with a golden, braided cord attached to the same side of his flattened chest that is hanging below the medals a few inches as the rest of its body is wrapped around the base of his arms, the man's blackened suit has a white suit hidden behind it with a blackened tie wrapped around his neck ut its shaft and tips or behind the cover of the charcoal suit as the blackened suit has epaulets that show his ranks as the 'Captain' of his ship, along with four golden lines that wrapped around each opening of the sleeves along with a golden, upside-down star set next to the golden lines.

The captain blinked before he turns his head to the left and the right, seeing nothing but paints of charcoal, before he move up his arms and shifted his attention onto the arm before him – It's there….but he don't see it. He uses the muscles of his eyelids to cover his eyes before revealing them, to confirm that he's in this darkness and not closing his eyes, before he blinked and look up for he saw it in the corner of his eyes – Light…inside a cube. The aquamarine cube was transparent, with spherical light firing its rays to every corner of the cube's within, as it is floating within the center of the vast darkness and rotated itself at a snail's pace. The captain's eyes were glued onto the cube before his fingers reaches for his chin and rubbed it as he look at his vast-charcoal surrounding. He walked over to the side and reached out his other arm, only to find there was a wall before him. Then he tries again in a different direction within the shadows, to find it wield the same result. So he try again…again…again…and again…before he dropped both arms to let it dangle by his side and begins to impact the charcoal floor with his shoes as he walks towards the cube.

As the sounds of his shoes' soles collapsing onto the floor of midnight reach his ears, the captain begins to release a deep, smooth as a calming ocean, within his mind as it rides a train containing thoughts towards his mind. He begins to ask himself where he was and why was he here and not on the battlefield? An answer he has no clues of. He then considers this to be a torture chamber and he was about to get tortured by his enemies…the enemies won't give you a floating cube that can generate light and not shackle you to the wall or floor…so that's not the right one either.

–As he continues rubbing his chin with one hand while the spare hand was holding the elbow of the hand that has its finger wrapped around the chin of the Captain, the Captain is now standing before the cube.

Luckily, he doesn't bump into the cube for he was splitting his mind as one was thinking whilst the other operate his eyes to keep track of the anomaly before him. He dropped his hand from his chin as he begin to stare into the cube…only to hear whispers. Whistling sounds begins to grasp his head as whispers begin to invade his shell-like ears with one word spoken in a continuous pattern – "Captain"...yet he felt nothing before he held the cube with his hand, showing his fair-skinned rough hands to his eyes.

–The cube begins to glow bright, blinding him with it as he raises his arms to block the palish light, as it was followed by a sentence of a feminine, mechanical tone "Now, we are one, Captain"

The behemoths of the seas are no longer there, for they have collapsed into bundles of 'Wisdom Cube' before they re-assemble themselves into the rigging which some are located surrounding their waist or attaching themselves on the girls' shoulders. The girls begin to ski toward the signal with their weapons in hand as they look forward after looking through the corner of their eyes. Enterprise inserted an arrow into her bow as she traveled with the group within the center toward the source – The Destroyers took the lead of the formation while the heavy cruisers were at the formation's rear, the auxiliary ship was next to the aircraft carrier, and the battleship was behind the destroyer but the aircraft carrier was behind the battleship. Enterprise uses her senses to sense enemies from the surroundings as she looks through the corner of her eyes before she turns her head in multiple directions. No exceptions were made when it comes to looking for potential enemies.

Enterprise let her wave of silver hair float as it danced with the wind as she slides upon the smoothen ocean after she fired two arrows towards the heaven – before it turns into two aircraft as it releases a rumbling sound and pierce the wind with its wings when it scout ahead. Enterprises slowly close her eyes and begin to focus as she looks through the 'eyes' of the aircraft which two of them were sent by her. As the planes embarked on their journey towards the source, Enterprise looked with their 'eyes' – below the palish wools of the heaven, yet above the islands and the vast shimmering ocean, were the two fighter jets that releases a rumbling sound with their 'nose' and Enterprise was scanning with their 'eyes' to see what was the source, along with the destination of it.

–After minutes, she found it.

"We're close–" she whispers with her stoic, feminine voice before she opens her eyes – revealing her grapey eyes – as she called out to the rest of the shipgirls "–stay close! Reaching in minutes!".

All of the girls are hardened as one of the heavy cruisers lets her soft voice spoke through her lips "Time to bust out the guns, right, Baltimore?" before one end of her lips curve upwards to resemble a smile as she turns her head to look at her sister who was skiing with her on her right. The 'Baltimore' turns her head back at her pink-crown, younger sisters before cracking a smile of her own before saying: "You got that right! Let's teach them a lesson! Bremerton!"

As the two sisters done chatting at the rear of the formation, the battleship girl released a current of air through her lips as she closes her eyes before opening them and ask the two destroyer who is in front of her "Ne~ Are we there yet?"

The gril with the palish crown look back at the battleship girl with her crimson eyes before she wipes them with one of her hand as she yawn "Jersey, you should've ask Enterprise, not Laffey" Laffey said before another yawn slip through her lips. The destroyers wit the golden twintails look at Laffey before looking back at New Jersey as she responded with "...Eldridge don't know."

New Jersey let a sigh escape before turns her head towards Enterprise before let the sound ofNew Jersey voice reaches Enterprise's ears "Enterprise-chan, are we there yet?"

"..."

"...Enterprise?"

"It's here"

Enterprise has reached everyone's core with her voice as they all stop seconds later. The girls begin to look from left to right, up to down…to see nothing beside multiple islands riddling around them. Confusion is written on everyone's faces as they continue to search their surroundings with hardened facial features…Enterprise was the exception. Her face was hardened…but she was looking in one direction. North-West, behind a trees-dotted-island was the thing she saw. The heavy cruisers notice the behavior of the aircraft carrier before they look in the direction she was looking at to find the island. Bremerton begins to speak through the earpiece that the formation has and inform them of the hidden thing she saw…and luckily, because of where she stood, she knows what it is.

"Guys, source spotted…and it's a warship".
