Chapter 45

At four, Cataleya was heading to the study room of the duke, feeling a little nervous all of the sudden. She had no idea if it was due the fact that she'd be taking the test that the duke made or the fact that she would be alone with him.

But then, she pushed down all her jitters before she knock to the door. "Your grace, it's Cataleya." She called out.

"Come in," came a muffled answer by the duke from the inside. 

Her hand stirred the door's handle, opening it slowly and carefully. She let her head poke in first and saw the duke already sitting on his table and across him was another table with piece of paper and  a pen in there. 

Cataleya then admitted herself fully upon seeing that her exam paper was already laid there in waiting. "Good afternoon, your grace." She bowed a little.

"There's no need for any formality. You may sit down." he said.
