Chapter:001

"F*ck it, it hurts."

I never imagined myself dying in such a cliched manner.

Lucas Carter is or was supposedly my name. I excelled in practically every aspect of my life and grew up in a loving family with supportive parents and a nagging younger sibling. I earned decent results and was going to start university the next day. Aside from that, I enjoyed watching anime and reading novels.

As I was returning from grocery shopping and waiting for the traffic light to turn red, a small girl began running toward the middle of the road as her mother was on the phone, a big ass truck appeared out of nowhere and was going to hit the little kid, That's when my body spontaneously moved and leapt to save the girl. I was able to save the girl, but I was crushed by the truck.

When I began to feel warm and tasted iron in my mouth, I realised I was bleeding. The girl I saved approached me and began crying, repeating, "Don't die, big brother," while her mother dialled an ambulance. I knew I wouldn't make it, so I tried to keep a smile on my face, even though my entire body hurt like hell, and told her to smile and be happy all the time. I could hear sirens in the distance, but it was too late.

Little girl PoV:

'I am sh-ho *hick* shor-ry big bruther *hick*'

Ambulance-chan Pov:

Wee-woo wee-woo, wee-woo.
