Changes in the valley

As Take enjoyed a nice boar steak which was seared to perfection with a baked potato Ghost could be seen wolfing down a boars hind leg looking around the previously wooden walls with small gaps were covered with a thin layer of concrete mixed with cattail 'cotton' although the color was a bit different due to him seeing if he could use crushed berries to change the color which ended up just being a faded version so he deemed it a failure

Currently Take is crushing charcoal from his furnace down into dust and adding a bit of water in an attempt to make ink he found that if he injects his chakra into it the process comes along a lot smoother during this time he has began to study the runes in his eyes when suddenly he got an urge to write something

He didn't understand the urge but he went with it grabbing a thin piece of hide, making a brush from boar hairs and using sinew to tie them around a stick, and now he has ink... Take took a deep breath as his body seemed to move on its own as he wrote in an unknown language there wasn't any pattern or anything it just seemed like he was going through the motions

After a few hours each and every character was driven to muscle memory as he looked over the characters he found no deviation no mark outside where it should be no smears just perfection... then he started tying them together the more he practiced the more he seemed to remember although it was just him remembering about this art called 'Fuinjutsu' it was progress

Take seemed to have a mountain of insights in 'Fuinjutsu' as it slowly streamed into his mind while he was practicing, this art just seemed ridiculous using the power of words to seal energy all forms of energy even potential or kinetic opening a large gulf of possibilities if he wanted to once he became skilled enough he could seal the kinetic energy of his door essentially locking it until he used the 'Key' or sealing a large amount of potential energy into the door so when someone touches it, it will violently react... whether that's flying off its hinges or just flinging off towards space Take couldn't figure out

This was a huge boon for Take as this could solve the majority of the problems he has been racking his mind for deciding to practice this for 3 hours everyday in the morning since he doesn't even have to hunt anymore with Ghost dragging 'gifts' home with him every day, the amount of hide Take has been tanning has dropped due to Ghosts... more aggressive way of dealing with prey but Take's never complained his freezer is stocked full of meat enough to last them quite a long time

Even with the freezer Take began drying meat in large amounts just in case one never knows what could happen so he opted to be well prepared, while Take was giving a thin cut of meat a salt bath to ready it for the drying process he heard a rustling of bushes near by simply brushing it off as a rabbit he decided to ignore it and continue what he was doing just as he was about to hang up the piece of meat a man walked out of the foliage

Quickly looking the man over as Take formed a needle of wind above his finger he saw what seemed to be a human a little shorter then he was well in the later years of his life the man seemed harmless but Take's instincts were screaming otherwise

"Explain your self old man"

Raising his hands as if to surrender

"I'm simply traveling through the valley and happened upon you cabin, I mean no I'll will I just revealed my self to ask if you could spare some food that's all then I'll be back on my way"

Looking at the old man for a few long seconds Take emitted a small pulse that didn't go unnoticed by the old man as a large white wolf came flying through the trees of one looked closely it was bouncing from tree to tree not once touching the ground kicking off a branch it skidded to a halt next to Take

"Watch him boy..."

As Take finished he headed into the cabin, meanwhile the old man was curiously looking over the wolf keeping the same distance it looked like a regular wolf but the speed it has shown definitely surpassed that... Hell even some level 1 or 2 adventures might not be able to keep up which is pleasantly surprising narrowing his eyes he seemed to feel 2 foreign energy's quite different from the mana that the inhabitants of this plane of existence use

"Here you go old man, some boar steaks, and a bear brisket that should be able to hold you off for a few day also here is some salt and a small pouch of dried meat"

Handing the old man a bloodstained hide bag and 2 small pouches Take turned around to finish hanging the salt soaked meat while the old man seemed dumbfounded he expected to get some scraps left on a bone or some old dried meat...not almost 30lb or fresh meat with nice marbling and great inter muscular fat...

Looking up to see the old man drooling over the provided meat Take cocked his head in confusion

"Aye old man you alright? Got something leaking out of your mouth..."

Flinching slightly a mischievous glint rose in the old mans eyes

"No no I'll be on my way now thank you for you kindness"

Not leaving any chance for Take to reply the old man began walking at a decent pace heading towards the south west most likely in an attempt to cross over the other mountain range that makes up this valley during this interaction Take got an idea

During these next few days Take began covering his cabin in a layer of dirt (making pretty much a hobbit hole) before cutting squares of turf (Grass) from the surroundings and placing them all over the cabin making it seem like a large mound with a small entrance leading to a door (like an archway)

After this Take dived into seals with more drive then before he would like to be able to venture farther without the worry of coming back to all of his belongings gone or having to fight someone that stole his home and Fuinjutsu seemed to have that answer to that

Even after 3 months the most Take could do was create misdirection seals, a illusion seal, and a single locking seal for his house both the illusion seal and locking seal were used to secure his house while the misdirection seals were placed althoughout the valley

They were placed in such a way that if you strayed from the mountain path you will end up going in circles eventually leading back to the beaten road unless you had the 'Key' as for the illusion seal it just helped the mound Take called home seem more natural and the locking seal speaks for its self (think of a deadlock but magical) all of these seals were made on small pieces of hide and placed inside of trees over time the trees will grow around them making it near impossible to find all of them without destroying the whole valley

Unknown to Take senjutsu chakra has became prevalent in the valley but can't seem to escape, due to him externally using chakra which instead of disappearing it slowly seeps into the surroundings bathing the nature slowly transforming it such is the reason why the meat found in this valley is so tasteful and nutritious along with the amazing marbling which was quickly nearing Wagyu A5 in some cuts

Take didn't think much about this he just assumed that every animal in this valley was unreasonably Heathy well he wasn't wrong as for Ghost... due to his body absorbing the pulses of mixed energy from Take it has slowly adapted into his body alongside the senjutsu chakra strengthening him well past what a normal wolf would be able to accomplish as for why the animals in the surroundings haven't grown ridiculously strong like Ghost was that the senjutsu chakra in the surroundings as trace amounts of Take's will

This keeps the animals characteristics as the nature energy seeps into these animals nourishing them creating more fat and tasteful meat (Bullshit) this phenomenon wouldn't be possible anywhere else due to the unique properties of these mountains acting like a bowl to hold the nature energy but also release it if it grows too dense keeping a balance

While the nature energy that leaks out of the valley is quickly absorbed into the ground nourishing the surroundings causing vegetation to slowly climb up the mountains working their way up towards the snowy peaks (More bullshit I just wanted a reason to keep it all within the valley without just being like ... Yup this has no effect on the outside world BECAUSE THATS HOW IT WORKS... that would be lame so enjoy the bullshit I have feed you)

This cycle endlessly continues as the containment properties of the mountains strengthens making it so that more nature energy could be trapped within once again completing the unending cycle (Once again bullshit...)

Happy with the layer of protection he encased the valley in Take took a deep breath as he placed both his index and middle finger to his forehead looking towards the south-west he began walking once again letting his feet guide him as Ghost followed equipped with only the clothes on his back ,a makeshift knife, and a bag full of dried meat with some boar steaks after a while of walking looked towards Ghost

"Let's see if you can keep up"

Doing a single hand seal Take seemed to flicker out of existence to the naked eye as he channeled a mix of chakra and Ki towards his legs jumping between branches with Ghost not far behind following the exact same path

This continued for a few hours before Take decided to rest pulling some dried meat from his bag as he tossed a raw steak to Ghost looking around the trees became sparse as plains seemed to dominate the surroundings focusing back towards his meal he began eating

After they were finished with their meal and Take dealing with some weird looking small green monster they continued on their path eventually seeing a large tower reaching past the clouds in the distance while he was entranced with the height of the tower he tripped over a root sticking out of the ground in the pretty much flat plains cursing his luck he turned his attention ahead seeing the large walls surrounding what he could only assume was a large city and a open gate with a line some distance away

Standing up and dusting himself if he made his way towards the line seeing various races all eyes seemed to be on him and his companion Ghost ignoring the stares he noticed many different races some with dog like features, cat like features, elves, humans, and some others that Take couldn't even guess after a while it was his turn to enter when suddenly the guards dropped a halberd in his path earning a low growl from Ghost as the hair on his back slowly rised until Take put his hand atop Ghost releasing a light pulse causing the wolf to instantly sit looking straight forward

"I apologize for my companion he is slightly overprotective, if I may ask why you have stopped me"

"I don't recognize you... you will have to pay a entrance fee and head towards the guild to get a form of identification unless you seek to become an adventure which will forgo the need for identification"

Shaking his head Take replied

"I don't have any money on me, would you take this"

Pulling a large boar steak out of his bag the guard was about to refuse until he saw the quality of the meat quickly realizing that this slab of meat is worth much more then a measly 100 valis he quickly agreed

"Yes i will accept it this time but next time have money.. I'll guide you towards the guild I'm kind of heading that way my self"

Stopping the guard Take spoke

"Umm actually I would like to sell the remaining meat so I could have some money in my pocket if you know a place that would buy I would be grateful"

With a smile hidden under his mask the guard spoke

"Yeah I know just the place follow me"

During their walk through the city which Take learned was named Oriaro they engaged in small talk mainly talking about the rules and how Take will have to go to the guild to list Ghost as a pet then to the Ganesha familia to finish the paperwork and make sure that Ghost won't randomly attack people

Before long they arrived infront of a tavern named 'Hostess of Fertility'

As they entered all eye focused on Take and Ghost when a loud voice rang out

"NO ANIMALS IN THE TAVERN EITHER LEAVE OR MAKE IT WAIT OUTSIDE"

Nodding Take turned towards Ghost while releasing a pulse causing Ghost to whimper slightly before exiting the doors and sitting right outside blocking any entry or exit then the guard spoke

"Mia I got someone here that would like to talk some business with you... got some high grade meat with him too... while your at it could you cook this for me"

As a large women came out of the back the moment she eyed the meat stars seemed to form in her eyes

"I'll have it cooked but I'll be taking half of it there plenty of meat there...7lb if I had to guess"

Turning towards Take she looked him up and down before speaking

"You got anymore of this meat boy? I'll pay a hefty price for it... if they all look like this and aren't rotten I'll pay 1000V (Valis) a pound"

Pulling his bag off of his back Take replied

"Yes but can we do the transaction in a more... secluded space?"

Laughing boisterously she waved the boy towards the back

"Yeah yeah... just don't think of scamming me or I'll put you 6 feet under boy"

Nodding in reply he followed the large women named Mia towards the back and entered a room with a table and chairs on either side pulling out a 20lb bear brisket and a few boar steaks comparable in size to the one he gave to the guard seeing this Mia's eyes went wide

"Boy where did you happen to find such meats, I don't even think the gods dine on meat this high of grade"

Shaking his head

"I can't tell you that but if there is a interest in it I will be able to grab more once I accomplish something, after that I will be able to deliver large amounts to this establishment if the price is alluring enough"

This seemed to catch Mia's attention

"How long are we talking until you are able to make this happen... and what kind of weight are we talking about"

Putting his hand to his chin as he thought

"Around 400 to 600lbs but that's just what I already have stocked up... once that's gone I will be able to harvest about 200 to 400lbs of bear meat, 100 or so pounds of boar, and 50 or so pounds of pheasant and chicken a week so that my supply doesn't dwindle"

Hearing this Mia almost coughed up blood but he wasn't finished

"I'm guessing things will be done in a month on my end"

She couldn't wrap her head around what she was hearing almost 600000V a week in just meat that she would have to spend but that very same meat could sell for 3000-4000V for a single 1lb steak just thinking about the money she could make made her drool she knew that all that meat would move quickly once word spreads even gods would be dining in her Tavern just for a taste but his next words made her head hurt

"I'm willing to sell them to you at a discount for a share of stock in this business, from your reactions I know meat like this isn't seen very often if at all I'm only asking for 20% and I'll drop the price per pound to 800V"

Mia had a feeling that if she didn't agree he would just go somewhere else and offer the same deal she sighed as she spoke

"Giving you a share of this business would prove to be somewhat difficult... you see I have rescued a few girls from rather rough backgrounds and having a man running around like he owns the place may make them uncomfortable... if they agree to this I find no reason to disagree... wait here I will go fetch them"

Take stopped her before she left

"May I allow Ghost in here I can tell he's becoming awfully tense I'd rather not have to deal with someone hurting him if that isn't possible is there a back door or something I could sit with him at?"

"Yeah once you leave this room straight down the hallway to the left... I'm trust you not to snoop around"

Nodding his head he went directly towards the door and headed outside sitting on the steps as he sent a pulse out... it didn't take long for the pitter patter of Ghosts paws to reach Take's ears slightly smiling as Ghost sat infront of him he pulled a piece of dried meat from his bag tossing it up in the air

"How do you like it Ghost... we will be here for some time... we will return to the valley every-once and awhile to make sure that everything is running smoothly... can't have my chickens and pheasants dying now can we how would I make your treats"

Laughing slightly as Ghost seemed to freeze at the idea of no more pheasant a rough voice rang out

"Oi Oi, you the owner of this mutt?"
