Standing outside in front of the pack gate with an umbrella above her head to shield her from the rain, Adeline sighed softly.
She was finally going to meet with Mr. Sokolov, and Caesar wasn't really aware. Well, she was going to tell him, but the man hadn't spoken to her. He was still very mad at her, and she hadn't had the chance to say anything to him.
He wasn't even willing to sleep in the same room with her, and it honestly drove her crazy. But then again, it was her fault.
Drawing a soft breath, she smiled to herself, unwilling to linger too much on the thought. Now was not the time to think about it. When she returned, she would find a way to talk to him, whether he liked it or not.
Flagging the taxi down, Adeline got into the car and called Mr. Sokolov. She'd let him know she was close, and by the time she arrived and walked into the small, moderate cafe, she was met with him sitting at an empty table, waiting for her.
