Star Wars: Vanguard Corps (Halo, Titanfall, Warhammer, Eve Online etc)

MC POV

*Groan* "Fuck my head hurts. Did I drink or something last night?" Speaking out loud to myself it takes a few seconds for me to take note of my current location.

"Okay, this is most definitely not where I am supposed to be." My headache and grogginess quickly disappear after noticing my current predicament I start to observe my current location.

A dark room, or at least that's what it appears to be, awaits my eyes, every place I look I can see nothing but black until something shows up in the corner of my eye.

Snapping my head in the direction of the only thing that isn't black in colour I see a grey pillar with what looks to be some sort of holographic display from sci-fi movies and games sitting distinctly upon it.

'So… dark room, no sign of light, weird pillar appearing out of nowhere and high-level piece of technology… fuck it, no think, just do.' Moving over to the display I see some words on it

{Mass Effect, Warhammer 40k, Halo, Star Wars, Destiny, Titanfall, Warframe, Star Trek, Homeworld, Etc}

'Now this seems familiar… hmm, Star Wars it is then' tapping my finger on the Star Wars option I watch as the list disappears and a new prompt appears.

{Name your faction}

'Faction? Okay, this seems like something I should take seriously.' After taking around fifteen minutes to come up with a name I finally settle with this.

{Chosen Faction Name: Vanguard Corps}

'I really took almost fifteen minutes to come up with a name like that, I really have a shitty naming sense.' Chuckling to myself I see the prompt change once again.

{Select Difficulty Level}

{Easy: Good Starting Location, Large Starting Amount of Forces, High-Level Starting Forces, Large Amount of Starting Resources, No Chance of Dissatisfaction or Hatred Towards Leader (You) Meaning Absolute Loyalty and Devotion, No Need to wait for Higher Level Equipment, Has Starting Fleet.

Medium: Decent Starting Location, Small but Elite Starting Force, Decent Amount of Starting Resources (Will be able to set up necessary equipment) Lowered Chance of Dissatisfaction or Hatred Towards Leader, Need to Gain Tech Through Own Gains, No Starting Fleet.

Hard: Bare Minimum Starting Location, Small and Slightly Experienced Starting Force, Bare Minimum Amount of Starting Resources, Realistic Emotions Towards Leader, Need to Gain Tech Through Own Gains, No Starting Fleet.

'I still barely know what is going on and it wants me to make this decision without prior information? Obviously, I am gonna choose the safest option.' Tapping on easy difficulty another prompt soon appears.

This prompt gave me a wide variety of different sections with limits on the number of ships I can get from each section from carriers to corvettes with fighters not counting.

Carriers, Max/6: 4 Infinity-Class Supercarriers (Post-2558 Refit. Halo), 2 Hel-Class Supercarriers (EVE Online)

Dreadnoughts Max/36: 24 Titan-Class Dreadnoughts (Halo), 12 Phoenix-Class Dreadnoughts (EVE Online)

Battleships Max/60: 60 London-Class Battleships (Halo)

Cruisers: 240 (I got lazy and gave up finding a bunch of different ships to make up a proper fleet. Sorry)

Destroyers: 480

Frigates: 600

Transports (Resources, Equipment, Etc): 100

Troop Transports: 150

Escort Vessels (In my mind used to ward off pirates and small strike forces): 400}

(A/N May have overdone it a little with the numbers but I have like no experience with this kind of thing so I just winged it. If you have any tips for this please let me know. Also, I was thinking of using some Warhammer 40k vessels and some Star Wars as well but since we are in the Star Wars universe I refrained and the Warhammer ones don't really fit the aesthetic I am going for.

Also, keep in mind that I have never played EVE Online before so I have no idea how a lot of their ships work. I just used them because I remembered it existed.)

'Well, that was interesting. At this point, I think I know where this is going but still not 100% on it yet. Well, I'll find out soon I think' Waiting for a short while another prompt popped up on the display.

'Now this seems fun' Grinning wickedly I start scrolling the list of options from many different Sci-fi universes until I make my selection.

{Flagship Confirmed: Leviathan-Class Titan (EVE Online)}

'Is that all of it?' As if on cue the hologram shifted to one more thing

{Disclaimer: Any race you select will not age from their prime, the same goes for subordinates.

Race: Human

Enhancements: Spartan (Halo and is only 6 foot 9) Guardian (Destiny all classes) etc (Too lazy to look for more)

Equipment: Mix between bodily enhancements of MJOLNIR Armor (Halo), Durability of Astartes Power Armor X10 (Warhammer 40k), Abilities of Guardian Armor (Destiny all classes), The versatility of all Warframes and the mixed appearance of Pilot armour, MJOLNIR and Guardian Armor. The colour scheme is mainly black with some red and a pitch-black cloak with a hood. Also has a wide variety of weapons.

Skills: Too many to list

'That seems good enough' Tapping confirm, the list goes away and soon another sentence appears on the hologram.

Author Note

This is very much a crack fic. I have no intention of making an overarching plot, nor am I able to, and am purely making this for my own enjoyment. I am also making this to improve my skills as a writer and just wanted to get the first chapter out of the way.

Now, I have no idea how often updates will happen or what is going to happen in the future of this story. I have an idea of what I want to do but nothing is set in stone. Please give me some advice and constructive criticism on how I do with these chapters and give tips on how I could improve. It would help me a ton.
