Of course, it wasn't as dramatic as implied, but Soul liked to imagine that it was. Souls blade clashed against Orochi's, causing them to both jump backwards. The pair looked at each other, dead in the eyes with a smile. They were both prepared to hit each other with as much force as they could create.
Soul's hand tapped at Orochi's sword, tilting his balance slightly. Orochi's hand went upwards, leaving a small opening for Soul to attack. Soul threw a quick punch at Orochi, only to have Orochi use his arm to block it. "Smart move." Soul commented before grabbing Orochi's arm and swinging his body around, delivering a quick and hefty blow to the side of his head using his foot. Soul landed on the ground, slamming his foot down hard enough to send shards of the floor into the air. Soul using Boundless Telekinesis to control these floating rock shards. He flung them at Orochi, who had just stood up after getting knocked down. You could see small amounts of blood dripping from his head, but that was only visual.
Orochi swung his sword, deflecting the shards of rock as he feigned weakness. He was trying to see if he could manipulate Soul in some way to get an advantage, but that strategy wasn't working. Soul rushed towards Orochi, and Orochi realised that this was his chance. He met Soul face to face, their Corrupted blades colliding with each other once again. Soul thought that Orochi would fall for the same trick again. Soul hit Orochi's blade, sending the sword flying straight up into the air. Orochi had planned for this to happen, though, and he realised that this was his perfect chance to win.
Orochi grabbed Soul by the neck while jumping up into the air with as much force as he could muster. Orochi lifted Soul above him, watching as the arcing sword flew back towards him. The Corrupted blade stabbed Soul through the stomach. It should have pierced his heart and left lung at the same time. However, Corrupted Essence took the space of his organs and bones, so he was fine for the moment.
Orochi slammed Soul's body into the ground, landing on the Corrupted sword and shoving deeper into Soul's body as he went. It was almost as if he was trying to impale Soul more than he already had. That would be a hard thing to accomplish. However, Orochi was doing it anyway because he felt like he could. The ground underneath Soul fell away, causing the pair to fall into an infinite speed loop going from the floor to the ceiling. Soul just let this happen, waiting to see what'd happen to Orochi considering the soon-terminal velocity that they were going at.
Orochi stood on Soul's chest, somehow pushing the Corrupted sword further into Soul's body before jumping away. This negated Orochi's speed, although Soul couldn't explain why. This allowed Orochi to jump away from the hole in the floor, getting to safety. Orochi left Soul to fall through the hole in the ground. Soul just lied there, pretending that he was falling asleep while using Boundless Telekinesis to slow down his speed. He was just showing off at this point.
Soul slowed down his speed, much to the surprise of Orochi, and just to prove a point, he started floating upwards. Going against the rules of gravity was something that Soul enjoyed doing on a regular basis. It was fun for both him and Aaron, showing that they had the same sense of humour. Soul then used Boundless Telekinesis to teleport behind Orochi, a smile on his face. "Peekaboo!" He yelled, doing it for the sheer shock value. After all, if he could scare Orochi enough, he'd be able to scare him into the hole. He'd laugh at that if it happened.
Soul delivered a brutal kick to Orochi as he turned around, sending him flying into the distance as Orochi pulled the sword from Soul's chest. Small amounts of Corrupted Essence dripped to the floor, but Soul quickly absorbed them. He didn't want to create a Corrupted dragon. That'd just be too much. There were no walls to be seen as the area extended past the horizon, presumably on for an infinite length. Orochi quickly made his comeback, rushing up to Soul with killing intent in his eyes. He swung his sword viciously, almost as if he had been holding back this entire time. Soul smiled at this new version of Orochi and began to swing his sword with the intent to injure Orochi.
Their swords clashed even more than before, their arms becoming a blur as they ran around the area inside Orochi's mind, hitting each other with their swords. Lacerations appeared on both Soul's and Orochi's bodies, but Soul's quickly healed. Orochi was not so lucky with that, as his body was patching itself up at the speed of a human. Soon enough, Orochi began to grow tired, his movements becoming more sluggish as time quickly passed. Soul watched this progressive ability drain take place and slowed down his reactions in tandem with him. After all, he was actually having some fun fighting against Orochi, not needing to restrain himself as much. Against anyone else, or even in the real world, he'd have to restrict his power much more than he was right now.
"Come on, is that all you got, Orochi?" Soul egged Orochi on, trying to rouse some motivation from his body. However, no response came from the humanoid dragon. Soul stopped moving, watching as Orochi's body walked on for a few more seconds before collapsing to the ground.
And that's when everything went black. Soul re-appeared outside in the real world as his original form, watching as a Corrupted dragon fell to the ground, turning into a clothed human as the spare Corruption flowed over to Soul, disappearing up into Aaron's eyelids. "So, now that this is over and done with, I'm pretty sure it's time to go home," Soul said to himself, turning to Oki.
"What do you think?"
