Aaron slowly dropped down into the city, and the second he stepped on the ground, he felt a crushing pressure on his back. He made his wings vanish, and everyone fell off, and Aaron felt the pressure lift off of his back. He looked behind him, seeing both Crystet and Clair on the ground, Free relinquishing control of the body for a bit. None and Seph were on one knee, trying to stand but failing to get up. "What's happening to all of you?" Aaron asked, a tone of worry in his voice. He didn't think this mist would affect them as well. "There's a strange pressure in the air. It isn't like anything I've felt before. Almost as if a hand is pushing down on my spine." Crystet explained, his spine bending slightly under pressure. "I also am feeling such a pressure on my back, Aaron, although it isn't too bad." None replied, Seph giving a different point of view. "Since I'm being covered by None, he's taking most of the gravity, but I still feel like my spine is about to be crushed. Almost like a force of gravity is trying to kill us right where we stand."
"I'm not affected, so I'm the only one who can deal with this situation. I don't want to do this, but you guys have to stay here. I'll take care of the problem." Aaron said, his eyes closing shut. He imagined the smoke clearing away, and he sent out a shot of energy with the intent to clear the smoke, but when he opened his eyes, nothing had happened. His attack was...negated? How? "I thought Boundless Abilities weren't able to be stopped!" Aaron yelled as the system brought up a solution or, well, a cause.
[There is only one explanation for this. Someone with an equal or higher Boundless Percentage than you is creating this mist. Even if you had an ability designed to clear smog, it wouldn't do anything against this. You need to find who's making this fog and either kill the person making this or get them to stop.] Memica exclaimed, causing Aaron to sigh. "I thought we were over with killing, but here we are, the threat of it again. Well, nothing else to do but find them." Aaron said to himself before facing his little group once more. "Alright, so you guys are going to have to stay here. I have to find someone." Aaron stated before running through the city, going at a decent speed. He needed to get this done, and he needed to get it done fast.
Aaron looked around the city, trying to find the area where the smog was the most concentrated, and soon enough, he found out where it was, as he saw more and more bodies. He had obviously started his smog in an area with a large group of people, as even Aaron began to feel the effects of the gravity, although only slightly. He saw a man standing there, only his outline visible. "Hey, you there. What the fuck do you think you're doing, huh? Creating such a smog over this city?" Aaron asked, the air around them beginning to clear up. "You...how are you standing in this mist? This mist is meant to force everyone under extreme gravity!" The voice yelled, being pitched up and down randomly. Almost like he used to be. "Wow. Everyone loves having their voice pitched, don't they? I'm the first person that I know to have done it, and it isn't that last!" Aaron laughed, his eyes quickly glowing cyan, a ball of pure mana in his eyes. "We have two options here, fellow Boundless user. Either I kill you, or you stop creating the fog. You've obviously killed a whole bunch of people with it. I mean, look at this guy!" Aaron said, pointing towards a bloodied body. His face had been slammed into the ground hard enough to crack his skull and kill him.
"What does it have to do with you, person who follows the Trial for Boundlessness? It's not like it affects you." The voice responded, the gleam of a blade flashing in the thinning smoke. "It doesn't affect me, but it pains a friend. He lives here, and it hurts a person who travels with me across planets. That is why I'm here right now. If neither of those conditions was met, then I wouldn't be here." Aaron responded, quickly ducking. The sound of metal flying over his head cut through the air as Aaron heard a building behind him crumble and fall. "So that's your attack, huh? Well, I'm afraid you've lost this battle." Aaron laughed, teleporting directly behind the man, finally looking at him without the fog being in the way. He was wearing a black trenchcoat and black pants, with a green shirt. "Despite only being 20% Boundless, I'm in contact with people at 100%, and they've given me a bit of advice and some help," Aaron stated, dodging multiple attacks as he talked. "And here's just an example!" Aaron yelled, teleporting behind the man and delivering a heavy blow to the back of his head. Aaron landed on the ground, and as he was bending his legs on impact, the tip of the sword went just over his head, almost stabbing him.
Aaron teleported to five meters away, making sure he was out of range for another attack. Aaron prepared a blue ball of mana, making it as powerful as he could. Aaron couldn't take any chances with this man. He was ready to cause large amounts of damage to solve this. "What the fuck are you thinking?!" The man yelled, seeing Aaron's ball go from a light cyan to an almost void-coloured blue. "You'll kill everyone on this planet!"
"Well then, it appears that you only have one option. You either die, or you stop creating the smoke and surrender." Aaron threatened as he watched the man drop his sword.
"Fine, you win. Just dissolve the ball of energy, and everything will be fine."
