Swindled

After her confession about the death of her mother, we started talking about our daily life sitting beside the river as I share an apple and half of my orange with her as well as promising to let her meet my mother and have her eat my mother's cooking.

"See it wasn't I who was lost but you were the one who lost your way and thought the other is lost like you. 

So in the future try not to help someone when you need help yourself." She scolded me when we arrived at the city.

"See you around Yue." I said, waving towards her as we went on our separate way.

" Next time I am going to eat your mother's cooking, don't forget about it and tell her about me when you return.'' Yue said before leaving me alone in the market as I left behind wondering why would she want to eat my mother's cooking when she is so much richer than us.

Maybe she just misses her mother so much.

"Sure." I shouted from the back as she left me with a cute smile plastered on her face before vanishing in the crowd of people.

After saying goodbye to Yue I decided to look around the market a little more in hope of getting something useful.

While I was roaming around the market I saw an old man selling books or in this world language scrolls because of being rolled like a pipe.

"Hey, you kid in blue come over here?" shouted the old man while I was passing by his side with a happy face as he looked at me.

"Are you speaking with me?" I asked in confusion as I pointed my finger at myself after not finding anyone but me in blue around here.

"Yes it is you whom I was searching for this past century." said the old man with a suddenly serious tone as the smile on his face vanish as if it was never on his face.

"You were looking for me for over a century?" hearing his words I couldn't stop myself from asking him in shock and surprise while wondering how old he might be to search for me for over a century.

"Yes it is you whom I was looking for and finally I have found you." the old man said as I can see visible tears gathering at the corner of his eyes showing how much happy he is after finding me.

"Why were you searching for me?" I asked him with a serious face as I can feel how much he had suffered just to find me. 

Poor old man, he was looking for me in this world when I was on Earth.

"Do you know you have a very special Aura about you?" he asked me while cleaning the tears at the corner of his eyes while I felt I have heard this sentence somewhere in the past but maybe I am wrong and the aura he is speaking about is the Aura of a transmigrator.

"Really?" now that he can feel the difference in me compared to others I think I can believe his words and he is a really wise man.

"But I only have 99 Yellow Profound coins." I said with a sigh as I took out the pouch of Yellow Profound coins in regret.

"No problem I will give you this scroll for 99 Yellow Profound Coins for the safety of everyone and world peace." the old man announced with a smile as he gave me the Cultivation scroll and took the pouch in an instant just to vanish out of my sight before I can react to his action when I understood "I just got tricked and he was a swindler."

Now that he has run away I am not sure what I am going to tell my parents and I am also clear it will be impossible to find the swindler in this big city so I decided to return to the Xia Manor with no choice before shouting in anger "Don't let me catch you old swindler unless you want me to kill you."

Getting swindled on the first day in the city made Kai frustrated and with anger, he was returning to the Xia manor when his attention got caught by the cry of a girl as he asked in anger "What the hell is wrong with this city to have crying girls all over it?"

Although he is angry however he wasn't able to neglect the girl's cry as a responsible man and decided to put his nose where it doesn't belong.

Following the sad cry of the girl, it took only a while before he found some boys bullying a girl who is relatively short and fat with not so good skin color crying and I decided to intervene "Is it good to bully a powerless girl?"

"And who might you be to stop us from punishing this ugly girl for disturbing our sight with her ugly self?" asked one of the kids that are bullying the helpless girl.

'I know she isn't as good-looking as Yue, however, it's not ok to call her ugly right on her face.' Kai thought with a serious face before deciding to use his anger on these bullies that he now hates " Who do you think you are to call her ugly you bastard?"
