Sirius Xshasi

King Eldran's expression flickered subtly, a movement too discreet for most to notice. However, Glynn, Violet, Dominic, and Vesanze all exchanged knowing glances, their keen minds already grasping the deeper implications behind Shun's question.

The king met Shun's gaze directly, his stare more intense and focused than ever. "As his descendant, it is only right that you learn the truth."

He paused before continuing, his tone heavy with significance. "After the others have departed, I would like to have a private discussion with you."

Sirius Xshasi—a name forgotten by many in the modern age. Yet, from the king's solemn expression, it was clear that this man held great significance to the kingdom. Some of the older citizens in the audience clenched their fists in anger, though a few glimmers of empathy softened their eyes.

Shun offered a smile. "I am most grateful, Your Majesty." In truth, the answer to his question mattered little to him. What he truly desired was to announce the forgotten name—and by extension, his own true identity—in front of the entire kingdom. However, deep down, he couldn't shake the suspicion that Sirius might be connected to his hidden ability to wield all ethereal arms.

King Eldran raised his voice once more. "I hereby declare the conclusion of the 71st Interacademy Ethereal Combat Tournament. Lordrixis citizens and all, your participation is appreciated."

The audience erupted in cheers, rising to their feet in a final, jubilant celebration. Though disappointed that the grand event had come to an end, they knew that the excitement would return next year. Perhaps not as legendary as this tournament, but certainly something to look forward to.

Ray Scarlet had recovered, but the fire in his eyes had dimmed, replaced by a shadow of sorrow and misery. His fellow members of Haven Royal Academy approached, laying comforting hands on their king.

Oliver Grave shook his head, the twisted blackhole under his eyes faintly visible. "Sir Franklin will not blame us for this defeat. After all, he himself is uncertain whether he could have survived against the 9th ethereal warrior."

Shaden nodded. "The outcome is disappointing, but also justified by the overwhelming power of Gemini Iricson. We have already proven our worth to the kingdom."

Ray stood slowly, the weight of his loss evident. For the others, it was merely the end of a tournament. But for Ray, it marked the loss of his title as the strongest ethereal warrior of his generation. Gemini Iricson's shadow would loom over him like a giant, a constant reminder that he was just a "second place."

He walked toward the exit, signaling the others to follow. Before leaving, he cast one last glance at Silver and the arena, his heart heavy with reluctance. But in the end, he turned away and descended from the glory of the tournament stage.

Silver watched him go, her eyes filled with sorrow and empathy. "I'm sorry for taking this position from you…" She whispered, too quiet for Ray to hear.

Shun glanced at her. "Why? This position belonged to you from the start."

Silver ignored the question, her smile bitter. "I'm going to join the others. I'll see you after you return."

Out of everyone, Shun was perhaps the most pleased by Silver's true identity. Having the ninth complete ethereal warrior by his side would be an invaluable asset.

"You've done a perfect job. Get some well-deserved rest," Shun replied.

Silver's expression grew complicated, and without another word, she rushed toward the preparation area, leaving Shun alone atop the arena.

The other complete ethereal warriors began to depart, their faces reflecting a mix of emotions.

"I'll provide free transportation!" Noah Heeden offered, his eyes shining with satisfaction.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I want to stay here a little longer," Violet Remoria declined politely.

"Alright!" Noah replied, snapping his fingers. In an instant, the other complete ethereal warriors vanished into the air, including himself.

King Eldran turned to Shun. "Come along, Shun Xshasi." Violet Remoria rose to stand beside him.

A pair of wings materialized on Shun's back, and he slowly flew toward the audience area.

The King nodded, then glanced at Violet. "Why are you still here?" His tone had noticeably relaxed without the presence of the crowd.

Violet forced a smile. "I'd like to have a quick word with this young man as well. Surely, as the second complete ethereal warrior, I have that right?"

King Eldran closed his eyes and shook his head. "Suit yourself."

By this time, Shun had landed in front of him, beginning to kneel. But the King halted him. "Enough with the formalities. Let's get straight to the point."

Shun smiled and nodded.

"There is a version of Siriu's story that has been told throughout the kingdom," the King began, "but I assume it is not entirely accurate."

"In this entire kingdom, only one person knows the true history behind Sirius Xshasi, and that person is not me."

Shun froze. He hadn't expected the truth behind his ancestor to be so shrouded in mystery.

The King continued, "However, I can introduce you to that person. Perhaps you can learn what truly happened from her."

"All I know is that Sirius Xshasi was a loyal warrior. The truth behind his betrayal is likely far more complex, filled with challenges and regrets."

Shun's smile faded, replaced by a serious expression. "What was the ethereal ability of Sirius Xshasi?" His tone remained respectful, but with a hint of urgency.

"He wielded the 0th complete ethereal arm, more formidable even than the 1st," the King replied uncomfortbly, unwilling to reveal the fact that someone was stronger than him. "He possessed the ability to transfer or distribute ethereal abilities from one person to another, excluding himself."

"With this power, he created a perfect soldier—one who could wield multiple ethereal abilities simultaneously."

"That, apparently, is why he was 'corrupted by ambition and greed.'"

"Everyone possesses a unique and individualized ethereal arm. However, when a complete ethereal arm fades away, another with similar power is typically summoned to a new bearer."

"But when the 0th ethereal arm disappeared with Sirius Xshasi's death, no new 0th complete ethereal warrior emerged. The arm, as well as the postion, simply vanished, leaving a void that has remained ever since."

Shun stared at the ground, struggling to hide his trembling before the King. After a moment of silence, he regained control of his emotions.

"Who is the person who knows the truth?" Shun asked.

The King, unfazed by Shun's slight breach in formality, answered with a measured tone.

"The 100th complete ethereal warrior, former apprentice of Sirius Xshasi: Elysia Eukanorn."
