Oliver gets transmigrated into the beautiful but deadly world of shadow slave where even the strongest of humans can die in seconds, his goal? Survive.
"Ah water, yes water... WATER!?"
In a fit of panic I took a deep breath and started squirming upwards? downwards? It was very disorienting since there was only water, water and some more water. Like I was trapped in an entire ocean, no light to be seen.
"Calm down and breathe. Wait how.. how the hell did I just breathe!?"
After a couple of hectic second I manage to calm down and tried to think rationally but, "How can there be anything rational about this! I was just sleeping on the bus home and woke up here in this... ocean?"
"Calm down Oliver, think... Goddammit think? Like that's gonna do something how the hell am I supposed to know what's happening!!"
Before the thought fully finished a white flash blinded me.
"What the-"
And there he was, standing with a big grin on his face "Welcome Oliver!"
After opening my eyes the water was gone, well not really. I was now standing on top of it instead of drowning in it, if you can even call it that. Standing on a plane of water that looked to span forever in all directions with only darkness above me, no stars no nothing just pitch black void.
"Wait am I Jesu-"
"Hellooo Oliver!?"
"Aaah!"
In front of me was a young looking child with short blue hair and eyes that shimmered so bright they seemed to contain entire galaxies, waving his arms frantically. His smooth white garments fluttering in the air.
Staring at the strange kid who looked to be no older than 10 i scratched the back of my head.
"Uhm.. hello?"
A bright smile appeared on the kids face, "Welcome to the afterlife Oliver."
My eyes opened wide from shock, "What!? I-I am DEAD!!? WAIT HOW? I was just in the bus. Did it crash? A heart failure? Was I shot!?"
"Calm down Oliver." Said the kid, his voice shutting me up instantly like it was some sort of authority
"It's not that bad. It even is your lucky day, you know." Throwing me an awkward wink.
"Because the great me has picked you as one of the lucky souls who gets to be transmigrated."
My head was spinning in circles "What the fuck was happening? I died? How? Lucky day? Transmigrated?" After standing there like a dumbfounded fool for a few seconds I finally spoke up.
"Uhm what do you mea-"
"Sssh quiet and quickly spin the weel."
"This little!!" I thought before a giant weel appeared right before me, seemingly out of thin air.
The weel was divided into seven pieces, each its own colour; Green, red, blue, white, yellow, orange and black. A big red arrow was pointing down towards the weel from the top.
"I picked 7 interesting stories you have read throughout your life, so come on spin it."
"What? Why?" I was visibly confused, well who wouldn't be. So many questions and not a single answer.
"Spin it!" His voice boomed all around me.
A shiver running trough my entire body, it felt like.. like the actual universe was telling me to do it, no.. forcing it. My body started moving on its own against my will. Grabbing one of the stumps on the weel and hup.
"Tick tick tick tick tick..." My eyes where fixated on the weel, anxiously fidgeting my fingers without even knowing what I was spinning for or why for that matter.
It just felt important, really really important, more important than anything else in my life. The weel kept spinning and spinning until it finally landed.
"Tick.. tick... tick...." It landed on... Black. A cold shiver ran down my spine, my gut was telling me that black was definitely not the color I wanted.
"Oh my its black. How wonderful" a wicked laugh echoed all around me "This will be so much fun to watch. Well then I wish you the best of luck Oliver."
"What are you talking about??"
With a loud clap everything went black.
