Butterfly Message

Clarissa was hovering above L-07 as the sun began to set, watching Putra search for Jane's tracks. The girl then sighed softly when Putra gave the code that he couldn't find Jane. Clarissa, in the end, just nodded slowly at Putra, after which it created a hole right under the boy's feet and dropped him back into her universe.

The two of them returned to her night meadow.

"This is the third day, and she is nowhere to be found," complained Clarissa, making Putra lie down on the white mattress where they were sitting. His eyes stared at the floor plan containing several layers of soil in Clarissa's night sky.

"She's good at disguise," Putra muttered quietly, "But usually I'm very easy to recognize her."

They had been looking for Jane everywhere; on every side of L-07, from the outermost to the edge of the wilderness. They looked for the girl in every aisle in the L-06 market, researched everyone who was arrested and wanted to be sold at the auction house, and the two of them had also gone everywhere to find Jane, but to no avail.

It's already the third day.

There was no news from Kintan either. On the one hand, Putra was very sure that Kintan would be safe, but he also had a hard time finding Dirga because now that Kintan seemed to be nowhere to be found, the girl became more difficult to approach, just like Jane.

"Didn't she go to another layer of soil?" Clarissa asked, guessing.

"Why do you think that?"

Clarissa turned to look at Putra, who was still lying down, and glared at him. "You said that Jane likes to travel, didn't you? If you weren't that close during this one year, you probably didn't keep an eye on her either. It could be that the girl had tried to venture into another layer of soil since she already knew two areas where only humans could inhabit." She was silent for a bit, then she continued her sentences. "Moreover, like you said, she's good at disguise."

"Are you really good at analyzing?" asked Putra as he sat down, making Clarissa roll her eyes lazily.

"You're just stupid."

"So, suppose L-07 and L-06 don't have Jane anymore, okay? We're starting the search at L-05, the entertainment center lining."

Jane had just arrived in a pine forest directly opposite the coast, a sign that she had entered the L-05 area, when the girl was approached by a white butterfly the size of an adult's palm, a sign that her message to Renik had arrived, and the little girl was now giving a reply message.

The white butterfly is honestly the power of instant messaging for people like them. Jane doesn't know where Renik got this messaging technique from, but she just tells Jane that she has trained this huge butterfly to be her personal messenger.

Jane received the message brought by the white butterfly: a message written on black paper in white ink. Previously, she had informed Renik that it might take her a long time to return to the cave because she was after something that the antique shop owner's uncle said, and now Renik replied to her with different information.

*Yesterday I saw Putra walking around this wilderness with a stranger. The girl he was with was Wrena. She's no ordinary wrena, because they can move around through the wrena girl's dimensional portal.*

Jane silently read the slip of paper. She then burned the message and told the butterfly to leave without a word. What Renik reported was an interesting piece of information. Putra might have been looking for her because of the news that Hindia brought, but given that he was with a foreigner, it was possible that Putra might have teamed up with Candrasa's member and wanted to set her up.

Nobody knows about it.

She was still in the same disguise when her steps came to the meadow, the usual area for wrenas who wanted to walk or giants who couldn't fly. Although she also frequented the area, Jane was not very familiar with the mainland of this entertainment center.

But she recognized the majority of the most famous places on L-05.

After urging the shopkeeper's uncle for more specific information, she finally learned that The Black Valley was near a prostitution center located on L-05. Jane knows the area; it's not too far from the open meadow of L-05; it's only an hour or two's walk. She had gone there once to play around, but it seemed like the Black Valley was in a fairly hidden area to be discovered, because as far as she could remember, the girl had never heard of that name in a prostitution center.

"Looking for something?" reprimanded the petite creature who suddenly flew in after Jane's face. The girl turned to look at the creature the size of her index finger, making the fairy smile at her. "You like walking, don't you?"

"Yeah. This is fun," Jane replied quietly, "I already know what I'm going for."

"Where?"

"The Rose Garden," Jane replied casually, mentioning the name of the prostitution center. "You want to go there too?"

The fairy was silent at Jane's question before finally looking back at the girl and smiling faintly.

"No, but I'll take you to the end of this meadow. Is that okay?"

Jane nodded slowly in response.

Guiding fairies like this are indeed only around the meadows, the opening part of L-05 to help all visitors who want to go elsewhere. Some fairies served as guides, but some were sometimes employed as spies. Jane memorized all of that. She might not be able to tell which one was a spy and which one was a guide, but so far, Jane had always managed to fool these fairies. Furthermore, she didn't go to this L-05 area that often.

This place is disgusting because the creatures that inhabit it always show the luxury they have gotten from enslaving humans.

"Why did you go to the Rose Garden?" asked the fairy with the bright blue body light.

"There are a lot of charming creatures there, right?" replied Jane excitedly.

The fairy laughed at hearing that. "You're right, there is indeed a paradise for charming creatures. There's also a big festival today to celebrate the anniversary of the place and the birthday of one of the pimps."

"Well, it looks like it's going to be a great night tonight," Jane muttered subconsciously.

The fairy nodded approvingly. "You'll like it. I heard they're going to have a ritual bath together in Star Lake." Jane nodded eagerly to that.

She knew about Star Lake. The location was rarely open because it was only for special customers. But it seemed that for tonight, she could see the lake.

They finally arrived at the end of the meadow, which was now filled with dozens of other pine forests with glowing purplish-blue leaves. Fireflies with pink color began to appear in the forest. Some flaming flowers formed the road to the Rose Garden, adding to the beauty of the 'gate' to the famous prostitution area.

"Alright, have fun!" muttered the elf and left Jane.
