A group of about 30 men chased after a young man who was carrying a child in his arms. While he ran the kid in his arms put pressure on the injury that his father had in his shoulder. He and his father had been betrayed and ambushed while they were on their way to an alliance meeting. When the ambush began suddenly one of his father's trusted guards grabbed him and forced his father to accept a challenge for leadership.

His father took blow after blow without attacking since the guard threatened to kill him if he retaliated. Luckily he was able to use his ring which was coated with venom to injured the guard. The venom is said to come from the Gorgonic Serpent which makes their victims' bodies turn into stone nearly instantly.

When his father noticed that he was no longer in danger and he attacked the two old men and hurt them. They then managed to get away but the enemy had gathered numerous men to hunt them down.

His father had now been running for a few hours without resting and now he seemed to finally have caught a break after he used one of his magic skills, Fire Guardian. The surrounding vegetation began to set ablaze and a human-shaped figure emerged it would buy them some time but not much. There are so many people behind them that it would be strange if there weren't a few people with water skills.

After running for a few more minutes he father stopped and jumped up a tree. "Listen, Ethan, I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to hold on much longer. I have lost feeling from most of my body due to poison. I have to quickly give you something so I need you to shut up and just listen alright."

Ethan looked at his father who was full of blood while tears flooded down his cheeks. Since he was a baby his father and mother had taught him to have full obedience when it came to their instructions so he tried holding his tears in and looking strong as he nodded.

His father smiled and scratched Ethan's head, "That's my boy..... All those bedtime stories that I've told you about life in another world are all true. You see I have this thing called a system that brought me to this world and gave me the ability to become strong. My strength came from the love that your mother and I shared, now that she's gone it's no longer useful to me. Now listen carefully whoever has this system can give it to a blood relative and it's supposed to change. Whatever happens or wherever you get sent you have to make sure to become strong so that you don't get bullied, also be careful of who you trust. There are so many things that I want to tell you but the most important is to make sure that you survive. No matter what you have to do you make sure that you stay alive, is that understood?"

Ethan looked at his father in surprise, his mother had always said that his father had an incredible imagination. His father had said that there were buildings that almost touched the sky and that people didn't have to battle wild magic beasts. If his father was really from such a world then that was amazing however this all sounded like some kind of goodbye. He nodded and was about to ask his father what they were going to do but his father smiled and gave him a sign to stay quiet.

"Close your eyes son."

Ethan hesitated for a second but in the end, he nodded and did as he was told.

Not much time had passed before he could feel an unnatural warmth throughout his body. He suddenly heard an odd feminine voice speak inside his head.

Ethan kept his eyes closed but when he heard the countdown he could no longer keep his eyes closed.

When he looked at where his father was he noticed that there was no one there anymore. Instead of having his father with him, there was a circular net made out of blue light surrounding him. When he looked down the tree he found his father being surrounded by many men. His father was encased in ice from the neck down so he wasn't able to move.

"Leave my dad alone. If you do anything to him I swear that I won't stop till all of you die." Ethan pounded on the light net trying to climb down the tree but he wasn't able to get out of the net. It also seemed that it was soundproof. Ethan could see that the men and his father were moving their mouths but he could not hear anything. Some of the men were also looking around but they seemed to pay no attention to him."

Ethan kept pounding and crying, but he was still not able to get out and help his father. Suddenly his father looked up and smiled at him. He said something before everything became engulfed in a fiery explosion.

Ethan found himself all alone in a dark forest, the damage from the forest fire and the explosion was nonexistent, It's as if it had never happened.

"Father! Father, where are you! Dad! Please dad answer me!!!"

After repeatedly yelling for his father he still didn't receive a response. He had no other choice but to bite his lips and shut up. All the yelling he was doing would only attract the beasts from the forest. Ethan had no idea where he was but that didn't change the fact that his father had wanted him to survive.

'Just what is this voice? Father said something about a system does that mean it's this person?'

Suddenly Ethan felt like something had stabbed his head, he began rolling on the floor trying to hold in his screams due to the pain he was feeling. After what felt like hours the pain and the flashing words had begun to decrease.

"Just now, all that information. Could this all be true? Is there really a way that I can go back and get revenge on everyone who hurt and turned their back to my parents?"

Suddenly he heard a strange buzzing sound that was getting closer. He quickly ran in the other direction, he used his strengthening skill to increase the gap between him and the beasts. Sadly since he was still young his mana capacity was severely limited and soon he ran out of mana. By now the buzzing was gone and he decided to climb a tree since it was safer than being on the ground.

"Looks like I'm not in my father's old world, in his stories he said magic beasts didn't exist."

'Now, more importantly, is this system, I got all the information that I need inserted into me. If I understand everything correctly going back and getting revenge is highly possible. This system allows me to go to different worlds and improve my strength in then and through the storage space I'm able to store items from those worlds.'

'To be able to go to different worlds I need to get reputation points, the way I get these are based on my reputation. It doesn't matter if it's a bad or good one either, as long as I increase my reputation I'll get points based on how many people know about my accomplishments.'

'Once I get 500,000 points I'm able to spin a wheel for a new world, after I unlock the world I need to pay 5,000 reputation points to stay in that world each week. The most important part is since I'm originally from my world it got saved, all I need to unlock it is 250,000 reputation points. This world was a gift from the system so I can come and go without paying anything. The same goes for my old world, once I unlock it I can come and go as I please.'

'I can also upgrade the system using the points, sadly I don't know what the upgrades will do. 2 million for the first upgrade, that's equal to opening 4 other worlds.'

'The thing that I'm wondering is how exactly I can increase my reputation quickly. I know that I'm still too weak but the longer I leave those bastards alone the stronger they become. I also need to know how many points I get from each person that gets affected by my accomplishments. Should I become an adventure and gain fame doing that? Maybe I can become the best blacksmith, I remember uncle Jason was very popular. Everyone was nice to him because..... they wanted him to craft..... them equipment.'

Ethan fell asleep not much longer, losing his father and being alone for the first time was too much for him to bear. As soon as his body relaxed while he thought about the future he fell asleep.
