Saving the Warrior With The Iron Leg

Once upon a time, there was a big empire that was ruled by a strong king.

That king ruled his empire with justice and wisdom. His people loved him because he cared about them and tried his best to improve their life condition.

Through several years, he managed to build the biggest and strongest army that ever existed. An army that defeated all his enemies.

This army commander was very famous of his bravery and his successive victories. He was called the Warrior with the iron leg because he lost his leg in the war but never backed up. Instead, he put an iron leg so he could keep fighting. And due to his strong will, he led the empire to glory and became a legend.

But, After defeating all the enemies and achieving an ultimate glory, the king became so greedy and ruthless. He wanted his empire to be much more powerful while his people started to suffer because of the endless war. All he wanted was conquering more lands and take possession of its wealth. He didn't care about killing more innocent people.

Power changed his mind and made him lust for more.

The warrior with the iron leg realized that his king took the wrong way. He begged him to stop the bloodshed, but the king refused. He said he won't stop until he rules the whole world, and that's when the Warrior decided to stop. If he couldn't change the king's mind, then he won't participate anymore. He backed off and asked the king to appoint another commander on his behalf.

At first, the mad king didn't care about him. He accepted his request and banished him along with his family like a worthless warrior. Though, the commander became very depressed, he decided to live what remains of his life peacefully. There was nothing more he could request after taking his honor and humiliate him.

Unfortunately, his peaceful life didn't last long.

When the army started losing on the battlefield, The king blamed the warrior and accused him of treason without listening to him, then he sent an army to bring his head to him.

The army attacked the warrior that dedicated his life to the king and the empire without hesitation.

He tried to protect his family, So he fought back and defeated hundreds of soldiers.

The king became more furious and asked help from the enemy to kill the warrior. He even accepted to give up a part of his empire as a gift for anyone that kill the undefeatable warrior. He didn't care about his people suffering neither about his empire lost glory. Anger and hatred blinded him and made him sacrifice everything to get rid of the man that served him the most.

The Warrior couldn't stand seeing what the king was doing to the empire that he built for years. He tried to stop the king using his force, but people around him were being killed ruthlessly only because they were loyal to him. He even lost his wife and children. Nothing was left to him but to die. He wanted to surrender himself to the king to end all this torture, but he couldn't do such a thing. How can he end his life that easily without taking revenge for all those people who were murdered without a mercy. He realized that he must stop the king at any cost.

At that moment, he got a crazy idea. He went to the temple where there was the holy fountain. If you gave a big sacrifice to God, he will make your wish come true. And because of that he decided to give his life as a sacrifice to ask for another chance to live and to save everyone.

On his way to the temple, a lot of soldiers surrounded him. He fought back as much as he could, but at the end he got injured badly. Fortunately, he managed to arrive at the holy fountain, he put his hand that was full of blood in the water then he said his wish.

At first, nothing happened. His sacrifice wasn't enough to grant such a big wish. He closed his eyes and waited for the end after realizing that he will die without being able to have his revenge.

When he was taking his last breathes, a woman approached him. He couldn't see her face clearly since his eyes were blury. He could only see her warm smile. And without hesitation, she took his sword and cut her hand, then she put it also in the water and held his cold hand.

The warrior was confused, he didn't know what was going on.

The woman whispered in his ear gently:

- Let's go back together.

The strange woman and the Warrior died together, and at that moment, their wish became true.....

Their great sacrifice was accepted and they will be given a second chance.
