As Richard burst inside the grand estate, a surge of anger propelled him forward. He paid no heed to the usual greetings of the household servants as he made his way with purpose toward his father's worplace. The desire to confront his father gnawed at him, intensifying with each step.
Yvole town had been strategically chosen for its safety measures—only those born in the town were permitted entry, creating an atmosphere of utmost security and familiarity, like that of a tightly-knit family. During his training to become a knight, Richard had befriended a young man hailing from Yvole, who had helped him fabricate a connection to the town by passing off his mother as a distant relative. And it was this connection that had now led Richard to believe his mother's kidnapper was his father, knowing the confine of his powerful organization.
