An Attack In The Dungeon.
On their way to the dungeon, Ezra received a message from Amir, in the form of another trusted guard to accompany them. He introduced this young man to Lola as Zeff.
Lola instantly recognised Zeff as the man, who had driven her to Richmond's hotel location some days ago. She didn't understand the need for an extra bodyguard, seeing that she was still within the palace premises. Nevertheless, she appreciated Amir's efforts at ensuring her continual safety.
As they arrived at the dungeon premises, a newly assigned guard at the entranceway stopped them. He politely requested their purpose of visit, stating that the king had forbidden anyone from seeing or interacting with the traitor prisoner.
"Oh... Okay...ummm...I will speak to the king first." Lola was about to turn around and leave but Amir's word about a possible foul play somewhere kept ringing in her head like a warning bell. She hesitated for a few seconds before facing the guard.
