5 days later, there was countless victims falling to heart attacks. so much so that Light looked further into it. He even traced it to the heart attack of the guy they first heard of having the heart attack.

he even said that the murder was one of the victims to the huge organization with a twisted sense of justice. It was fulled when the numbers continued to increase.

"Light..." He walked over to his big brother. "Should... should I make-"

"It's going to be alright Aru- chan." Light rubbed his younger brother's fluffy hair and looked to his pair of bright amber/pink eyes. "This organization seems to only target criminals, and if they stick to that then neither of us have to worry. Anyways, I don't think their method of killing could work on either of us anyways."

"Yea... Nasoids do a better job on keeping the body alive." Hikaru took a deep breath.

"Besides, what weapon would we need?" he asked. "Did you forget about the nasoid cubes already?"

"Oh, Oh yea!" He hit his forehead. Both he and Light had 8 cubes each, even if light can't really control many combated aspects of the gear, it was still stronger than most guns and armor.

However, he knew the truth, neither of them might survive the death note. Unless the Shinigami can't kill nasoid hybrids then it's- wait nasoid hybrids.

"Hey light?" He asked.

"What?" Light laid down, relaxing as he entered the virtual game 'My world'- Aka the sandbox god game.

"Would we be considered... human?" He carefully asked.

"I don't understand why not..." Light immediately logged out. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, It's just that- well..." He sat down next to his brother. "It's just that, it's... the serum and the computer in our mind-"

"Of course, we are human." Light put his forehead on his brothers, reassuringly smiling at his younger brother. "What we have is like a prosthetic, at most we can be called cyborgs but arn't all people with mechanical limbs cyborgs?"

Hikaru slowly got a 'it's like that' look on his face, sadly he wished the nasoids made them into something other than human. At least he thinks Shinigami can't kill anything other than humans... or can they?

"What brought this up?" Light asked.

"it's just-..." He took a deep breath. "Doesn't everyone... just seem so different? from us?"

"Oh...Oh!" Light got it immediately only after a second of thought. He took a deep breath and looked to his younger brother. "We may be different now but remember- your inventions will make it to the public. It may take a long time, yes, but it will be worth the wait."

"I know, but it's... I don't know how to explain it." He leaned on the headboard.

"Hm?" Light patiently waited. Hikaru thought about what he should tell light, that made them so different from the re- oh wait there was that...

"I discovered an... added benefit to the nasoid serum." He said slowly. Light kept silent and waited. "You know how the end of a person is when their cells commit suicide? Well... our cells are nasoid enhanced and nasoids don't self-destruct until they are told to or are too old to function... And nano nasoids recycle inside the body endlessly."

"...So, we are practically immortal is what you're saying?" Light said as slowly as he could with the sudden information.

"Well, not immortal. There is a limit of 134 years for the first dosage of nasoids... but you can consume more to keep the cycle going." He admitted.

"..." Light took a while to prosses this, but it soon turned to excitement. "So- unless something kills us, we won't die?"

"Well yea-" He didn't even get to finish his sentence when he saw his brother practically vibrating next to him.

"You don't understand Aru-chan! You've litterly found the serum for immortality!" he took a deep breath. "Me and you, we are the first people in existence to become immortal!"

"Yea-" Light gave his brother a tight hug.

"I had thought this life was as existing as it could be, but to think- to think you managed to make it even more existing than I ever thought possible!" Light took a deep breath and smiled like a kid in a candy store. "Virtual space travel? we'll be able to really travel in space! this is amazing... it really is!"

"Hehe." Hikaru awkwardly laughed to the side.

"I have no idea how you're not excited." light gave his brother a look. "This is immortality we are talking about!"

"No, I am!" Hikaru defended. "I just found a few articles online about how people feel about immortality and well- I didn't know which one you were."

"Trust me, I'd happily become immortal- that is if you're with me." Light sat back down. "You're the only person I know that could make life this existing, without you- I'd much rather live a normal mortal life."

"Huh..." He looked at his older brother, shocked at this relivation. Soon a bright smile graced his childish face. "I couldn't imagine a world without you light, it would be so dark."

"..." Light snorted, but his eyes widened a smidgeon. "Well, I guess we can't live without each other."

"Those are things you say to you lover Nii chan!"

"I don't think I'd ever get a lover, I'm pretty sure I'm leaning into asexual/aromantic territory." Light sighed. "Unless I'm just a really picky Pansexual."

"Who knows, maybe you'll find the perfect someone when your like 1000?" he teased.

"It might just take that long." Light resigned to his fate, suddenly a thought appeared in his head. "Hey if I were to get a girl pregnant, would the baby have nasoid cells?"

"Sort of? The nasoids filter out bad genetics of both parents even when one parent doesn't have the nasoid cells. the nasoids left in the womb and the one cell in the baby would grow under the care of nasoids. The one nasoid cell is responsible of growth, so deformities or genetic illnesses will be impossible." he explained. "The one cell will stay there for 10 years until it withers away in the body."

"..." he looked at his little brother.

"What? I also thought of this problem okay!" He huffed. "So, unless the child is given the serum again, they will live a normal life- well a genetically superior life."

"Hm." He nodded.

"???" he gave another look at his brother before ignoring him and going into his own 'my world' game.

"So, If I donate-"

"Light! The news!" Hikaru looked at the small Tv that suddenly turned to a Guy named Taylor. His whole body bristled with agitation as he looked on. Light rushed over the moment he heard his brother yell his name.

"Lind L Taylor? L?" Light looked at the screen, surprised. "Isn't it a little stupid to show your face in live tv? with your name?"

'To the perpetrator of these serial killings" The man stared at the screen with a serious expression. "You have committed the most abominable act in history."

"Is he trying to get himself killed?" Hikaru glanced at light.

"Is it... A set up?" He asked himself.

'I will personally catch the one behind it...' he stared at the screen. ' "Kira" at any cost.'

"What's announcing it going to do?" Hikaru asked.

"A lure." Light said. "If this is an organization then this will lure or put them into hiding-"

'Kira, I think I have a pretty good idea of what you're trying to do any why you're doing it.' "Has this guy blinked yet?" "Shush" 'but what you're doing...'

'Is evil!'

"Offta, that must be a hard blow." Light cringed. "Insulted on live television, across the world..."

"Is the dude on the TV really L?" Hikaru suddenly asked.

"I doubt it, the top detective in the world has never shown his face much less name before- what are you doing?" light looked to his little brother, who suddenly sat like a human frog.

"I'm in my thinking stance, and I'll sit like this from now on." He announced.

"...Okay?" Light shook his head.

'Araag!' The guy on the screen held his chest and bonked his head on the table. the twins froze and looked at the screen incredulously...

"...do you think nasoids can save us from magic?" He said lowly.

"Magic... it shouldn't exist... It should be a similar energy you injected me with. No... it's too different." Light took a deep breath, "what all can you do with the energy?"

"I can use it to make things... and activate the nasoids to do my bidding... however I could never be able to do... that." he starred at the screen. "Much less around the world."

"Is it really impossible." He asked.

"It is, I'd have to have someone near me to kill them- and by using a lazor. It's Imposible to control nano nasoids like that... they are too tiny to add a hovering or flying system." he took a deep breath. "To induce a heart attack... I don't know how..."

"God dammit, no leads then." He took a deep breath. it was at that moment the screen turned. The familiar gothic yellow went into its place.

'Unbelievable...' the distorted voice sighed. 'I did this in the off-chance you'd kill "me". So, Kira. You can kill people without even being nearby. So, it's true after all. If I haven't seen it with my own eye's I'd have never believed it. But this was the only way you could have killed them, wasn't it?'

"So, L was already guessing that it wasn't an organization?" Light asked. "Thats... amazing."

'Kira, listen to me. the person you killed was actually a prisoner sentenced to be executed at this time today. Not me.' the voice mocked. 'He was a criminal imprisoned without any media attention. so naturally even you didn't know he existed.'

"I like this guy." Hikaru swooned. "Do you think he's hot IRL?"

"...Maybe?" Light looked at his brother, a bit shocked at his sudden interest. "he's probably an old man, you know?"

"I'll make my own fantasies." he waved his hand.

'So why don't you kill me!' The twins jumped.

"Stop! I've finally developed a crush!" He yelped.

'Come on! Do It!'

'Kill me!'

'What's wrong? Can't do it? Seems like you can't kill me after all.' the voice finally calmed down. 'Let me tell you something in return.'

"Please stop, my pure heart can't take it." It really is different in real life rather than in a manga or anime.

'I said this was a worldwide live broadcast. but it's really only being shown in the kanto area of Japan.' Hikaru gasped.

"Doesn't that mean L's going to be here? That's so cool!" he swooned under his brothers worried eyes.

'I was planning on doing this at other prefectures, but now that is unnecessary...' the voice droned. 'I know now that you're in the kanto area. the police might have missed this, but i know your first victim was a murderer in Shinjuku.'

"Light! you were right!" Hikaru jumped. Light proudly puffed his chest.

'Compared to all the other criminals who died of similar causes this guy seems insignificant. and only the Japanese media reported this incident. that was the only clue i needed.' the dramatic pause had him going close to the screen. ' To know you're in Japan, Kira! and that man was just a test for your killings!'

"Aru-chan, can't you be more serious? This is about a mass murder you know?" Light pulled the smaller twin back onto the bed. "At least leave enough room for me to see."

'i got lucky. casting my net out on the most populated area of Japan. I really didn't expect my plan to go so well. Kira it's not far from the day you die.' L continued his monolog going. ' Kira I'm extremely interested in your killing method... I'll figure it out...

when I catch you!'

'Kira... I will hunt you down and destroy you!

I am... Justice!!!'

"...I feel like I watched a very epic seen from an anime." Hikaru shook off his nerves. "hey, do you think Kira said the last part with L?"

"Who knows." He shrugged, also feeling tired from the spectacle.
