Chapter 98 - Home

Soon the crane flew over a huge forest.

"Oh, kids, look to your left. We are home, lady Perlin excitedly looked out.

Elle and Feng happily leaned out the window to see the magnificent view of the manor. "Wow, that looks stunning,"

"yeah right? I love this place. The rose garden here is the prettiest," Elle excitedly, jumped hugging Feng's shoulders.

Even the twins were slightly excited to look at their new home. Aiden had a calm look on his face, but there was a genuine happiness in the crone of his slightly upturned lips.

Ethan, unlike him, had a wide smile as he glanced out.

"Ethan Aiden, look!" Feng pulled them close and gestured to the huge garden that was visible from up the sky. "Isn't it beautiful?"

The garden was formed in a way that created a huge maze. The walls of it were filled with rose bush. Red blooms were visible even from this height.

"It's the season for frost rose to bloom look there," lady Perlin gestures to the corner. A small patch of blue flowers were slightly shaking in the wind.

"Blue rose!!! That looks so pretty!" Feng exclaimed.

She was not much of a flower person. Every time someone gifted her bouquet of flower heads, she would always pity the beautiful blooms.

"Flowers look pretty only when they are still attached to the plant. Because as a flower heads they might look beautiful in a vase, but they won't last that long. I much prefer if they still live and die on that same plant," she mumbled softly, looking at the beautiful scenery.

Ethan heard his and glanced at Aiden subtly. {'She only likes flower when it's attached to the plants,'}

{'That is a weird way of saying it, but I guess she is partly true. Flowers are more beautiful when they bloom on the plant.'} Aiden nodded with a thoughtful expression.

Lady Perlin, who was watching this from the back, looked at her sister hopefully. "Have you given them any hint?" she whispered.

"None. They are tenaciously known for rejecting adoption offers. Trust me, I tried taking them in but they rejected it coldly,"

The younger lady looked more flustered at this point. "What do I do to win over their favour? I knew it I should have brought out an even more magnificent mount." She fiddled with the embroidery on her kerchief.

Lady Hiliana gently patted her stiff shoulders. "Just say that we allow marriage between cousins," she winked at her.

"That's it? They don't have any other demands. If they want, I can write the mansion I their name, wait the spirit energy mine would also work. But I would have to get my husband's permission for that... if they want I can.."

Lady Hiliana pinched her sister's lips together. "Dear just that one point is enough to convince them. In fact, when I offered to take them in, they rejected it because they won't have a chance to marry Feng,"

Lady Perlin was stunned. "Looks like you have a lot of men lining up for your daughter."

"Yes, that is annoying. I just want to chase them out like old maid style. With a broom," lady Hiliana secretly chuckled.

Seeing her cheerful sister, lady Perlin gently leaned on her shoulders. "Feng had changed you a lot... and I like this change,"

"Good that you do," lady Hiliana whispered.

Soon the crane started to lower to the ground.

"We are landing!!!!" Feng glanced back with a wide smile on her face. "Lady Hiliana, look here!!!"

Lady Hiliana smiled at her softly.

"She still calls you lady," lady Perlin whispered close to her ear.

"hmmm we just got the official papers few days ago. Plus, she needs some time to address me differently. Even so, she has called me mother twice. Its progress," lady Hiliana whispered back to her.

Perlin swiftly took out a small notebook for her pockets and noted it down. "I see... so if I adopt the twins, I would have to learn to be patient as well. How long do you suspect it will take them to call me mum? Can you estimate it, sister?"

Lady Hiliana gently tapped her forehead. "Aiden will smile sweetly and call you mum but he is the most detached. Ethan will take some time, but he warms up fast. I bet he will be the one to call you mum heartfelt,"

She then gently pulled at her little sister's skirt. There was a small compartment there that was overflowing with stuff and candy.

"You are still sewing pockets in your dresses? Perlin that pulls down your skirt and given you an unflattering figure," lady Hiliana chided, pulling her sister's skirt up.

"It's convenient. I can keep everything in there. I hope every lady learns to appreciate that. Especially you," she pouted cutely.

Feng, who glanced back, listened to this. "I would like pockets in my dress, too. It will be very convenient indeed,"

"So do I!" Elle happily lifted her hands up.

"See, my niece and grand niece know what I'm talking about. Don't worry kids, I will make sure to sew pockets into every one of your dresses and skirts." She handed a small candy to everyone.

Right then the crane screeched loudly with its wings out starched. The box jolted a bit.

Lady Hiliana, lady Perlin and Alvin secured the kids in their arms.

"Haling careful please.."

The crane settled down and slowly descended onto the small patch of grass.

Lady Hiliana opened the door to the most beautiful manor. "Welcome home kids."
